NFBC APPAREL NOW FOR SALE!!

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Mon Feb 18, 2013 3:33 pm

We know you all plan on being WINNERS this year in the NFBC!! Well, how would you like to DRESS LIKE A WINNER in the NFBC? :D

Thanks to the help of NFBC members Don and Doug Brady, we now have an apparel line of NFBC baseball caps and jerseys. We'll add T-shirts to the mix shortly. But right now check out our offerings here:

http://www.jet-custom.com/NFBC

The one item I am excited about is the NFBC jerseys. We have a nice black mesh baseball jersey that is nice looking and comfortable. It has a black design with the NFBC 10th Year Anniversary logo on the left chest area. You can also put your name on the back of the jersey and the number of years you've been in the NFBC. I hope folks pick the correct number because that will be a nice talking point with folks when they see you!! All of this for just $79.

And for NFBC Charter Members, I'm going to have a special deal for you on the jerseys. Stay tuned on that, but I want all of my NFBC Charter Members in a black NFBC jersey with the NUMBER 10 proudly on the back. More on that soon.

We also have the nice NFBC baseball caps for $25 and we can embroider your team name on the back for an extra $5. Again, if the Charter Members want this instead of a jersey, I'll make a deal to get that done. Heck, it's the 10th anniversary season and we need to LOOK GOOD EVERYONE!!

We'll look at some T-shirts and NFFC items as well, but let's get this site looking good and then we'll get it done. We still have time to order the jerseys and caps and get them delivered to you in the next 2-3 weeks. Sorry we couldn't have gotten this done earlier, but better late than never. And you'll see the items on me and Tom in Las Vegas if you don't order beforehand. Enjoy!!!

Thanks and feel free to provide comments or questions. We loved the 5th anniversary baseball caps, but this ensemble is even better!!

It's about time, looking forward to some nice NFBC gear.

A couple of things. It would be nice to have examples of the type of lettering that are available. There are a few different styles of script to choose from, but no examples. And seeing your name/number on the hat/jersey prior to buying would be nice. Also, $12 to ship a hat is bit much when you're not getting for 2 weeks anyway.

Looking forward to the T Shirts as well. Keep up the good work.

I'll ask Don and Doug to suggest a lettering for the jersey backs. The two samples they sent me seemed pretty standard as far as baseball jersey fonts. Also, maybe if we ship the ordered hats or jerseys to Las Vegas for folks who will be out there we can save on the shipping costs for some of you. Just an idea, but maybe I could coordinate that with them. Sound good?

Shipping out to Vegas and picking up there would be great. The design for filling out the text is a bit unclear. It would be nice to see the example you choose, ala Zazzle. There are over a dozen text color choices and 4 different font size options.

Thanks for looking into this Greg.

I say we make it consistent for this product and have one font for the names. It would look goofy to have us all have different styles for the backs. It's white lettering on the back, which looks good against the black jersey. And I'll ask about the shipping.

Right there with you, pal!
Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

Okay, Don and Doug are ready to help us out here. See their note below to solve the font and color issue on the back:

"We had to take the area off that allows the individuals the opportunity to select their name and number. In the program, to allow someone the chance to pick their name and number it also allows the choice of different fonts and colors of ink. So the only way to avoid this and have everyone's jerseys with the same font style and color was to shut this feature off. So we posted a note saying to put your name and number in the note section and we would send a proof to you so that you can see what it will look like."

As for shipping:

"We have also addressed the shipping cost. For right now we have the shipping at $0 for orders that go to Vegas for the Draft. We will have to change this at some point when we cut off the orders for the shirts we are taking to Vegas. I will work on the actual cost of shipping to other locations once this special has expired. I know we can ship out either a jersey or what or a combination of both for less than $12."

So there you have it. Great job Doug and Don. That's the type of customer service we like in the NFBC. ;)

Little Pricey for my blood, but since your a fellow cheesehead I will let it slide! ;)
You come up with a Long Sleeve T Shirt with the NFBC Logo on the chest or something cool, I will be your first buyer. I wear long sleeve shirts all year and would love to show off my NFBC Gear.
Cool Stuff! :D

Has anyone (thats not a charter member) purchased one of these jerseys yet? Mainly just wondering how the sizes run.....

I am 6'2", 200 lbs and trying to decide between L and XL....or maybe XXL if they run really small.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Ken - I have not purchased this jersey just yet, but my opinion is to go at least one size BIGGER than your normal size. You want room in the jerseys and you're most likely going to not tuck it in. It will look awkward if it's too tight or it shrinks to where it's short. Better to be safe. Just my opinion. Good luck!

Just an FYI on the apparel: We are getting a lot of orders for the jerseys and caps, but they are mainly from our NFBC Charter Members. That's cool and I can't wait to see so many guys wearing the jerseys at the drafts. But remember, ANYONE can order these. In fact, if you've been a 9-year member feel free to get the number 9 on the back. Or I know that one of our overall champions is getting the number of the year he won the $100,000 grand prize. Pretty cool. So feel free to order any item even if you haven't been with us for 10 years. ;)

And they are sending a nice shipment to Las Vegas if you order in the next week, so save on the shipping costs and order now. Thanks all.

Greg:
I think the reason you are getting mostly orders from Charter members is that the whole number thing is intimidating for non-Charter members. For those of us who have only been around the last couple of years, we are having to think twice about whether we want to walk around Vegas (this year or next) with a Jersey with a 2 or 3 on it, when everyone else has a 10.

Marked as a second class citizen in effect.....even though we know that is not the case.

I think you might have got a lot more interest from non-charter members if this jersey did not seem like it was basically a special item for Charter members.

Hopefully folks are ordering this for the long run and not just to look good in Las Vegas. Put any number you want on it. Is Derek Jeter a second class citizen with 2 on his back?

This is apparel. It's to wear for more than 1 day in Las Vegas. If you like it, enjoy. I thought I was doing something nice for the Charter Members who have been with us 10 years, but we'll bring samples to Las Vegas and if the number thing is too stressful folks can order one there and then not have to wear it around others. Then we can all feel like first class citizens.

The caps and jerseys are nice, no matter what number you have on!! Enjoy.

Agreed. I never gave this a thought in knowing it was for the Charter members.
At this stage of the game, I'm perfectly happy with just seeing the charter members wearing the apparel.
They deserve it.
And like Jack intimated, the rest of us will be the eternal junior and sophomore classes :D

I got #10 not because I am a Charter Member (though I am and you better remember it you second-class citizens :D ), I got #10 because I hope to be mistaken for Chipper Jones. 8-)
