Grand Prize In NFBC Draft Champions Grows To $16,000

I'll be the first to say that we never expected 123 full NFBC Draft Champions Leagues this year. The demand FAR exceeded our expectations. But it's a great sign for the future of this contest because going forward we are definitely coming out with a more aggressive overall prize pool right from the start.

Even though 83 percent of all prize money in this format is paid to the league winners, we still were able to expand the overall prize pool with this contest. We added over $15,000 to the overall prize pool and grew the grand prize from $10,000 to $16,000. We also doubled the number of overall prize winners by increasing the payouts from the Top 10 overall to the Top 20 overall. This allowed us to add more prize money to the top teams, while adding more overall prize winners.

It was a win-win for everyone in this contest.

Sounds great. It looks like there is a separate prize pool for the $150 DC leagues and the $350 DC leagues but they are lumped together in a 1845 team standings. Am I reading that wrong or misunderstanding? If not, could we see standings for each of the DC levels separately?

Everybody is competing for the same overall prize pool. Every team no matter what the entry fee paid $25 to the overall prize pool. The only difference was the league prizes. Everyone is now competing for the $16,000 grand prize and the 19 other overall prizes.
