MLB.com currenlty lists Lincecum as giving up 6 earned runs.
In second inning, Cuddyer reached on failed fielder's choice where Scutaro threw errant ball to second, Tulowitzki was safe at second and advanced to third on errant throw. Tulowitzki scored in inning. But additional 4 runs scored in inning after 2 outs. Are all of the runs earned in the inning?

Re: Tim Lincecum -- Official Scoring Question
It depends.
If Tulo was safe at second BECAUSE of the error, then they are unearned.
If he was going to be safe at second and advanced to third on the errant throw, then all runs are earned.
I didn't see the play....

Re: Tim Lincecum -- Official Scoring Question
The runs will all be earned, unfortunately. The error didn't cause the player to reach base, (he reached on a FC) it caused the player to advance to third base, therefore all runs would have scored, with or without the error.
At least that's how I see it.

Thanks. The Giants' announcers stated all of the runs in the second would be unearned. I don't know if they ever corrected themselves.
