Jorge De La Rosa -- What to expect?

Post by Return of the Aces » Sun Apr 21, 2013 9:16 pm

While last week's hot pick up was Jose Fernandez and this week many people are turning to Cingrani, I turned my focus to De La Rosa. He may not have the future of either one of these young pitchers, but if he is healthy (a big if), I am hopeful that he could bring positive stats to my team.

Yes, of course, there is an injury history and he does play in Colorado, but I kept my fingers crossed and bid big this week ($184).

My projections: 12-14 wins, 150 Ks, 3.8 era. 1.25 whip.

Any thoughts?

I'm a believer and have him on a handful of teams.

Boy, the bidding was all over the place tonight. I had one XII league where De La Rosa and Quintana went ahead of Cingrani.

The winning bids were:

De La Rosa 123
Quintana 103
Cingrani 101

In another Jarrod Parker was the high dollar guy going for over 400. We all calculate when to roll the dice and on whom. This will be interesting to see how it plays out.

Parker on waivers? 12 teamers. They're so cute. (rolls eyes).
