I don't think any batter has ever won the triple crown in consecutive years, but he's got a real shot this year. The guy is incredible.

Re: Miguel Cabrera
No Triple Crown winner has ever even led two categories the next year. The closest anyone has ever come was Ted Williams, who won the Triple Crown in 1942 and then didn't play again until 1946 because he served in World War II. He finished 2nd in all three Triple Crown categories in 1946 and then went on to win the Triple Crown in 1947. In 1948, he led the league with a .369 average, finished third in RBIs (127) and sixth in HRs.Bronx Yankees wrote:I don't think any batter has ever won the triple crown in consecutive years, but he's got a real shot this year. Miggy leads the majors in batting average and RBIs and is one HR behind Robinson Cano for the AL lead. Amazing.

Re: Miguel Cabrera
Can you imagine what he would hit if he played 81 games in Texas rather than in Detroit? Wow.
Who is this, robed in splendor, striding forward in the greatness of his strength? “It is I, proclaiming victory, mighty to save.” Isaiah 63:1
Re: Miguel Cabrera
Off-topic, BUT, one thing I know about Texas......they have the cure for insomnia down there.....and his name is Tom Grieve. Brutal. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZ. That's it I'm putting on the Oakland broadcast.
