Corbin - This year's RA Dickey

Post by BK METS » Mon May 20, 2013 8:35 pm

Is Patrick Corbin this year's RA Dickey? Mostly drafted in the reserve rounds, if drafted at all, the guy looks like he will be 7-0 with an ERA under 1.40 and 48Ks with the FIRST PLACE Diamondbacks.

I don't think many people saw this one coming.

The difference is Dickey was picked up on waivers in some leagues after being dropped. Not the case with Corbin.

I saw Corbin dropped in several leagues in week 2 and week 3, especially 12 team leagues, and not even drafted in some.

I will pat myself on the back for Corbin. As I reached to get him in both my NFBC leagues this year. I actually have been great with identifying starting pitching talent as many of the top starters are guys I was targeting (M. Harvey, Shelby Miller, Kershaw, Wainwright). Sadly, I didn't get many of them. However, I also was targeting guys like Kemp, Heyward and Zack Greinke so it hasn't gone so well.
