Another day, Another Oblique

Evan Gattis, must have been on that swing he broke his bat on last night. Is it me or did this Oblique injury not exist 3-4 years ago. Now there is one a day it seems.... Does anyone have any idea from a medical perspective why these injuries are happeneing?

iMO i think todays players are too muscular too much lifting weights, not enough aerobic calisthenics
