Can the Mets make a run?

Post by Outlaw » Fri Jul 26, 2013 2:46 pm

They are playing good ball latley and believe they just passed the Nats in the standings. With the Braves pitching a potential wreck, the Phillies old and hurt, the Nats a disaster, can the Mets make a run? Watching them play, if Ike gets going and the Byrd man keeps playing like he is, I think they just might. Tejada is playing well down in Triple AAA too... They could be 7 down in the loss column and in a tie of 2nd place tonight if Harvey wins.

If they could learn to score runs for Harvey, they'd be above .500 right now. Amazing how poorly they hit when he pitches. As Joe Sheehan just tweeted: "The #Mets scored 11 runs for Jenrry Mejia today. The #Mets scored 12 runs for Matt Harvey in May."
