Thank you Mo for 19 years of memories, class, dignity,competing and sportsmanship. You are all that is good about Baseball and Life!

Amen! A rare combination of athletic excellence and a truly great person. We may never see a relief pitcher exhibit such sustained excellence.

As Yankees fans, we have been honored, and spoiled, to have Mo as our closer for almost two decades. Although I think Robertson will do OK as a closer, that sense of confidence and relief whenever making it through eight innings with a lead is no more. Yankees games just got longer.

Robertson is not closer material IMO. I can see them going after a Joe Nathan type. As you said, no more automatic saves 40 times a year for the Yanks. They brought Billy back 5 times, who knows, come July and 10 million $$$, maybe Mo comes back... wishful thinking on my part...
