I am not surprised that my two teams, the Mets and the Jets are amongst this list, but I am truly baffled at the other teams in the list. What I don't understand is, what makes a team one of the "worst" franchises? Not winning championships? Mismanagement? Reputation?

Now do the Cubs make 3rd on this list simply because they don't win even though they sell out nearly every game and have arguably the most historic stadium and loyal fan base in any sport? Do the Phillies make the list, even though they have been relatively successful?
Makes no sense to me and granted it is GQ. I agree the Mets and Jets are badly run franchises, but if that's the case, what about the Jacksonville Jaguars? The Miami Marlins?
