Pujols draft position

Post by BK METS » Fri Nov 22, 2013 5:07 pm

This has to be the one player who will have the highest range of draft positions this year. I saw where he went in the first round in a pre-DC draft. I also saw he went in the 4th round in another draft. Where is his average landing spot? He says his foot is 99.9% healed. Maybe he gets back to being a force or maybe the decline accelerates. In the first DC draft, my 13th draft position was up in the 3rd round, number 43 overall and I took him. Did I take him too early? Thoughts?

If he is healthy, we are talking about late first round numbers

Interesting stat on almost all the power hitters, the past 3 years...Bat speed- down, Hamilton, Puljos and Fielder are just a few to name, names. Just check Fielders bat speed for the 2013 season, way down. Now I'm not going to say PEDS has anything to do with it, but with the PEDS of recent years, the most noticeable measured improvements by using all the different types, is Reflexes, Hand/Eye coordination, improved eyesight. Also the elimination of "Greenies" is having a huge effect and even MLB execs and owners are saying so lately.

As for Puljos, he's 2-3rd round, the earlier taken, the bigger the gamble. all I'll say is he looks a lot smaller than he did 2 years ago, recent picture makes him look like Granderson. Rememebr he did not have a surgery to fix his Plantar fasciitis, so who knows if it blows again with some stress on it. Most need surgery to correct it properly.
