23. I think 23 is about right. For every bench player that works out there is probably one 1-23 round guy who doesn't.

Bronson Arroyo (don't ask)

30.......E. Astaco (clearly Mr. Irrelevant) It looks like a quick hook from Captain Hook on Stephen Drew. What are you seeing out in Arizona that I don't know? ;) I need him in the XFL to get called up and hit .300-20-80-15 to have any chance of getting past those four teams ahead of me. :D

J. Johnson 27

Y. Torrealba 28 I noted where some people have also put who they replaced their drops with. I simply made the drops because of injury or better player available, but it is interesting to me when I considered how well the players I picked up are doing (or not doing).

B. Chen 21 - Dropped and picked up Claudio Vargas who gave me two great starts (12.0 IP, 1.500 ERA, 1.250 WHIP, 2 W, 8K). I dropped him the next week (didn't like his matchup and he was shelled for 8 ER in 3IP) and picked up Jeff Francis whom I still have.

R. Lopez 22 - I cut this dog and picked up A. Otsuka the week before he was named closer.

J. Duschscherer 24 - Hated to drop him, but he appears to be out a while. Picked up Dan Wheeler who has been mediocre at best.

A. Gonzalez 25 - First drop. Picked up Chris Burke. Dropped Burke when he was hurt and picked up Melky Cabrera, whom I dropped to pick up Burke again. Man, I hope HOU plays Burke. I need SB bad.

L. Matos 26 - Big bust whom I dropped to pick up Kaz Matsui. Big bust whom I droped to pick up Matheny (for when Barrett has to sit).

J. Johnson 27 - I keep putting this dog on my team and he keeps giving me fleas. Dropped him to pick up Chuck James. Why? I do not now know, but I dropped James (thank goodness he only cost me 11 units) to pick up Juan Cruz. I think I will keep him for a while.

Y. Torrealba 28 - Got tired of waiting for him to be healthy, so I dropped him on May 7th and picked up Bloomquist (I also have J. Reed, another bust so far). Still have him, but there is a big old target on his back.

Like I guess most, some solid pick ups (Otsuka, Francis, Cruz), some timely choices (Vargas), and some real dogs (K. Matsui). Overall pretty mixed.
