But the Mets have Bartolo Colon AND Curtis Granderson...How can you be so negative!ALL-IN JD wrote:I'll set the early over/under on wins for the Mutts this year, 73!
Is this a priority? What can be expected?Money wrote:This has been discussed and I thought (as many of us have) that this was a priority. The speed will be great, but would love to have the formatting for the look accomplished as well.Greg Ambrosius wrote:1. We will update Live Scoring tweaks later. If people want the box score look like we used to have, we'll definitely discuss. The speed all around will be improved this year.COZ wrote:1)Will we have a more visually appealing live scoring (i.e. less cluttered and no irrelevant stats) and in a column format like the old live scoring? I still think the layout on the older live scoring version is superior to the current one and would like to see that format used with the increased speed. Also, the delay on pitching stats loading is annoying.
2) Also, any chance we can have an even later FAAB deadline? I for one would love to have an 11 PM EST deadline. Most other Fantasy Leagues run their FAAB in the middle of the night and nobody seems to have a problem with that. I would love even more time on Sunday night to sort through waivers and analyze the upcoming week during the Sunday night game, that's half the fun and have always hated the early FAAB deadline constraints on Sundays...in fact in all of the sports.
3) Please tell me we are going to eliminate that 30 minute buffer from the FAAB deadline until the results are released. Have always found that quite annoying as well.

I see you've been taking some heat for taking Hamilton in the 7th round of an industry draft. Have they swayed your thinking? Will Shawn talk you out of the first Judy off the board in your upcoming auctions?
Thanks for taking the time here.
I will discuss Live Scoring separately at a different time. I can say that we can guarantee faster Live Scoring right out of the gate as we have changed some things internally with the delivery of that data. That's the good news.Money wrote:Bump.Money wrote:OK, I'll throw you a baseball question. How far will Rodney move up in the rankings now that he has a home and most likely the closing gig there?

IF you throw out Hamilton in the NL auction the auctioneer will throw a book at your headGreg Ambrosius wrote:I will discuss Live Scoring separately at a different time. Rodney is the 24th RP off the board now. I'm not sure he rises above 20th even with his new gig.
Hamilton is going sooner than we took him in most NFBC drafts, but only time will tell if all of us are right on him. Nobody knows for sure, but on the team that we drafted with lots of power, I think he was the right addition. In two weeks, Shawn and I get to throw out the first player in the LABR NL Auction since we are the defending champions and I hope we throw out Hamilton to see how much he goes for. I don't think we'll get him in that league, but it would be fun to see what price he goes for.
We are not as far along with the new draft room as we'd like to be. It won't be ready for the start of the online season, unfortunately. The long-term goal is to have a mock draft area for folks to use the software in advance, but again that's a plan for after we get this done and it's not done yet. Sorry.Happenstance wrote:When will the new draft room be ready? Can you offer mock drafts using the new software so we can get used to the new interface before facing a 60 second clock in a pay league?
Sure. If the demand is there for this format, we'll gladly start up a signup thread and host such a league.Yah Mule wrote:There was some talk about offering a $400 Draft Challenge league with escalated payouts. Is this alternative league option still being considered?
A payout scale of $3000, $1100 and $400 for 1st, 2nd and 3rd would be fairly close to the ratios already used in NFBC satellite leagues.

Great question. Would like to hear the answer to this before committing to any additional leagues.Red Sox Nation- wrote:Greg,
Can you update us on any of the FAAB enhancements. As great as live scoring, lineup setting, or the draft room may be I can't think of anything more important that continuing to improve the FAAB system. It's already the best in the business but there is room to always improve. I cut back from 7 to 5 FAAB leagues this year only because of how grueling Sundays can be. Thanks

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to ignore this question. Improving our FAAB setup is No. 1 on our To-Do List, which is why redesigning Live Scoring has been pushed behind it. This needed to be completely rebuilt to do everything that was requested and to save all of you folks time on Sundays. Live Scoring works and will be faster, but to change our viewing of the stats has to fall behind getting FAAB upgraded.TParsons wrote:Great question.
