Best weeks ever?

Greg / Tom,

I am curious, who has had the best offensive / pitching weeks ever? Have you kept a record book for # of hr, RBHi, era etc????

I doubt this is a record (it was for me though) but I managed last week in my Feb 21 auction team to get:

53r, 23 hr, 72rbi, 7sb, .348 avg. I think the 72rbi was the highest I have seen and 23 hr was close....

The most impressive thing about your week in the 2/21 $100 league (other than that it roared you back into contention) is the 9 HR day. That seems amazing. My best is maybe 6.

Spy My main event team's offense in Period 13 (last week):

54r, 20hr, 72rbi, 6sb, .329 avg.

How about your pitching totals for the week? Did your pitchers serve up those gaudy numbers?

Not as good as the hitting, but serviceable nevertheless.

I was looking back and found that I got 73 RBI's one week for my Cheap Seat Chuggers main event team in Week 4

.3249 avg, 56 R, 18 HR, 73 RBI, 1 SB, 2.639 ERA, 4 W, 1.218 WHIP, 29 K, 5 SV

Also my Fantasy Champion team had a good week in week 2 in my March 9th Sat

.3460 Avg, 63 R, 24 HR, 61 RBI, 0 SB pitching was very bad that week only bright spot was 7 SV

In my Feb 28 league Billy Sample's Boyz had a great week 10 .3158, 59, 18, 72, 13 that is the best all around week I have seen while looking

My guess for records

Avg. .397

Runs 82

HR's 31

RBI's 87

SB's 22

ERA 0.62

W 15

WHIP 0.68

K's 111

SV 23

NFBC 06 Cheap Seat Chuggers 2nd 67th Overall

Feb 21 Sat Team RamRod 1st

Feb 28 Sat Yellow Mafia 5th

Mar 9th Sat Fantasy Champion 2nd

For the year, my best for the individual categories have been:

BA 0.3223 WK 1 (how sad)

R 51 WK 8

HR 17 WK 5

RBI 55 WK 9

SB 6 WK 8 (more sad)

ERA 2.396 WK 5

W 6 WK 5 & 9

WHI 1.101 WK 5

K 58 WK 9

SV 8 WK 12

My best overall week has been Week 9 when I placed fourth overall with 2,605 points:

BA 0.297

R 46

HR 15

RBI 55

SB 4

ERA 3.375

W 6

WHI 1.232

K 58

SV 6

Great week but not record breaking, but I will take 12 or so more like it for the rest of the year!
Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

Spy I don't think we have that data readily available. It's possible that we could find it, but off hand I can say that we never kept the highest weekly 10 categories.

Based on all the reports here, it looks like there is a lot of interest in such stats I think a top 10 in each category with team and date would be cool (espn does this)

I was disapointed to see that someone had 73 rbi nad 24 hr to beat me but I didn't see anyone with more than 9 hr in a day so I will have to hold on to that

what a week it was:

Avg - 380

HR - 26

RBI - 82

Runs - 69

SB - 6

Mr Miagi said balance is the key to life Daniel son, and I lacked some serious balance last week, as my pitching fell asleep. Did enjoy the offensive outburst. Good Luck!
