Countdown

Greg/Tom,

What is the target number for participants for the Main this year? If it's under 100 are we going to get the yearly countdown that we get on the boards? Lastly, when do you anticipate draft spots for the first weekend Main Event? Thanks!!

Very interested in the answer to that question as well. This is my first year stepping up to the Main Event. I'm assuming/hoping draft slots are announced earlier than the morning of the drafts like the DCs, but how far in advance are they usually drawn? Thanks.

Seat availability shows 333 teams signed up for the main event. Last season 435.

Mike,
Not sure if you are doing first weekend or second, but depending on how many days the first weekenders get, that is how much time the second weekenders get (or there abouts). Greg and Tom give us as much as they can and it can depend on when they sell out. It will be much more time (i.e. days at least, not hours) than the morning of the drafts.
Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

Wayne - Thanks. I'm doing the first weekend in NYC. I was kind of hoping it would be at least a few days. Sounds good.

In the past, we've received our leagues and draft order seven or eight days ahead of our Main Event drafts.
On my tombstone-
Wait! I never had the perfect draft!
