I want to thank Tom for a great weekend of drafts and auctions in NYC at the Hilton. It was good to be back at the best location to have a draft in NYC. I was able to take a walk with my son, down to Times Square on Saturday morning. Tops the old location, by far. Food was good and rooms were big. The super auction was a classic (Dan Mitlof with the strategy of the year!!), along with the night out for steak with the guys from the MTM Super, and the main event was great, as usual. I think we might have also set a record for the fastest Primetime draft on Saturday night, in a little less than 2 hours.
I am looking forward to Vegas, but I hope that New York never loses its popularity. We have some great guys from the New York area and some very unique personalities, who have become my friends.
Thanks again Tom and see you all next week!!
NYC 1st weekend Drafts and Auctions
Re: NYC 1st weekend Drafts and Auctions
Thanks for starting this Alan. I would also like to add my thanks to Tom for running a first-class event with Dean and the rest of the facilitators over the weekend. With this being my 3rd year in ME's, it's so great seeing so many familiar smiling faces as we see each other enter the room. It really is, at least for me, a NFBC fraternity of baseball brothers. Everyone talking baseball having a good time, and as the clock strikes close to 1:00, everyone gets down to business of drafting their team.
Today's auction was also a blast, with a great group of guys, some of which I met for the 1st time.
Again, thanks Tom and team for a great weekend. Looking forward to a similar experience next week in Vegas.
