Need to upgrade my pitching badly, have plenty of hitting. I have 3 trade offers, which should i accept? H2H league by the way. My players that i will be trading will be on left side.
1. Ervin Santana and Ellsbury for Latos and Gallardo
2. E. Santana and A. Eaton for Latos
3. E. Santana and Eaton for Gio Gonzalez
Or none of the above, any advice would be great. thanks guys

Dude, you realize Ervin is in ATL now right ? If you need pitching so bad why give him up ?
All 3 trades suck for you, esp. if you givin' up Jacoby man that is just madness.
I'd give up Eaton for Latos or Gio, that's bout it.

Re: trade in my H2H league advice?
I failed to mention I've never been in a H2H league, but I still stand by my previous comments that those trades are all garbage for you. Ervin had the best WHIP last yr of every pitcher mentioned and the only reason his win total was lowest was b/c he was on KC. His ERA & K's were right in line w/ those supposedly better SP.
Now on the Braves and getting to face the fearsome l/u's in NY, Miami, and Philly* I'd bet he pitches as well (on a 1 yr deal too) and probably even better this yr.
As far as Yovani - this is his new job
*pains me to admit that as a Fightin' Phils fan, but alas the NL East is no AL East!

Re: trade in my H2H league advice?
Ok so you are posting a question regarding an H2H trade in a message board for high stakes , no trade, Roto leagues. I suppose you have your reasons but expecting a informed answer might be hard to come by. I myself, haven't been in a trading league in 5+ years and there is no mention if this is a keeper league or a one year league. And what is the points structure, how many teams, how many pitchers do you start? Seems a question for the CBS message boards. Just sayin.
good luck. Personally I would keep Santana.

Re: trade in my H2H league advice?
I have been playing in the Online championship for a few years now. This is my local league, just wanted a little advice from you guys. Ya I too, thought those trades were def in favor for the other guy. Just really need pitching and maybe Eaton for Gio is a fair trade. thanks for responses. GL everyone this year

Condescend much Alan ? If you didn't want to answer the guy's question fine, but no need to act as if he shouldn't post it here cuz this is high stakes blah blah.....everyone starts out somewhere so pull the golf club out of your ass
My brother isn't a Diamond league member (yet
) but he still is the commish of our small local league that was the launching pad for half of us to find the NFBC. We still play it out b/c it's like a family despite it's low cost.
I've seen far worse shit posted on this MB. Would you prefer your buddy Deadhead start yet another me me me thread

prob better suited in the http://nfbcforums.stats.com/viewforum.php?f=5%20forum forum. I suggest because you have enough hitting packaging another mediocre bat with Eaton and counter the Latos / Gio proposals. Good luck.
Re: trade in my H2H league advice?
I thought my questions were valid. Even if an "informed" answer was to be given, throwing trades out there without knowing the structure of the league is not going to get you far. I am not a "diamond" member either, so I am not sure why you have to jump down my throat for asking the guy a few questions.. I thought I was being honest with him by letting him know that there might not be many people here that will give him good advice as most of us don't play in trading points leagues.. Wasn't meant to be condescending and if it was perceived that way, I apologize.rockitsauce wrote:Condescend much Alan ?
