Some sort of stress fracture in his shoulder. Not a common injury supposedly. One report said 1-2 months.Chthroop wrote:Any more news on wacha? I am not seeing much detail
And to everyone who posts, thx. I used to post allot but work got busy and there was certainly quite a bit of eliteism/ favoritism. Now I think the boards are almost dead and it is a shame.
We need mobile boards!

Brandon Moss rolled his ankle following a swing in the 8th inning today then collapsed in agony.
This looks bad. Hoping it's not nearly as bad as it looked.

"The New York Post's George A. King III reports that Masahiro Tanaka has flown back to New York in order to undergo an MRI on his pitching arm.
Oh boy. Tanaka is coming off his worst two starts for the Yankees, and it sounds like he was compromised. At this point it's not clear what part of the arm is being looked at, but obviously it's a big red flag regardless. Tanaka had been scheduled to start the Yanks' final game of the first half Sunday in Baltimore, but it's probably safe to go ahead and assume he'll need a replacement."
Not good.

Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

"Brandon Phillips has been diagnosed with a torn ligament in his left thumb and will undergo surgery.
A brutal day for two teams in the National League Central. Similar to Yadier Molina, Phillips will likely be sidelined for 8-12 weeks. Ramon Santiago figures to fill in at second base for now, but the Reds will likely look to the trade market as they attempt to make due without him."
Dear Cincy...such a deal I have for you!

Apparently half the players on every MLB team just got injured in the past 24 hours and will need surgery so they're on the DL until late Aug or early Sep.
It's entirely possible there's one Draft Champions team with Zero players not on the DL.
This season will bolster the argument that Rotisserie is a game of chance not a game of skill. I suggest next season the game goes to a 6x6 format with the extra category for both hitters and pitchers being "Games Missed Ehile on the DL."
Everyone has a chance this season.

Tulo- right on schedule with his mid summer injury... possible Hernia surgery?
Re: And the hits just keep on coming....
Jose Reyes hurt his shoulder after sliding into 2B just now.
They seem concerned with his collar bone. Keep an eye on this in case you need to pickup a replacement should he miss time.
[Update]
Reyes is back in the game so likely not going to miss time for this. Just stole a base too!

Now Cutch leaves with what looks like an oblique injury. No word yet on how severe it is.
Re: And the hits just keep on coming....
McCutchen gone 3-4 weeks, maybe longer... saying a pretty bad Oblique injury.. gotta think the Pirates chances go down with him....

Thankfully football season is just around the corner. There's a safe sport.

Result Option 1: Player Z ends up not playing

Result Option 4: Player Z puts up a very good performance

This was reported in early April of 2014 but could well be current too.
Let's hope the 2015 version of this thread doesn't reach 24 pages the way it did last season.
