Going into today, no one would have guessed that Jordan Zimmermann would have pitched 5 innings, let alone pitch a no hitter. I have him in several leagues and actually considering benching him at the beginning of the week, figuring he wouldn't even pitch today. Granted he is an excellent pitcher and has the ability. I just didn't think, with the likelihood of him pitching in the opening game of the playoffs, that they would let him go more than 5 innings, let alone do something like this.
Ironically, he pitched against Henderson Alvarez, the guy who pitched a no hitter on the final day of last season.
It really didn't make a huge difference, either way, in any of my leagues, other than the NFBC Keeper league. I am curious to hear anyone who won their league because of his no hitter.

Had both JZimm and Alvarez going today in Platinum....yeah, we're happy

People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring.
