List of Rookies To Add For Player Default List

If Dan or anyone in a DC has a list of players who didn't play an inning last year in the majors but who will be among the first 750 players selected in our Draft Champions Leagues and can send them my way I'd appreciate it. I'll do all I can to get them entered into the player default list of the online draft room ASAP. I know we always have to pick Placeholders early on before STATS gives IDs to these players, but maybe we can get the process going quicker this way. Post a list of potential players here or email me at [email protected] and I'll see what we can do.

Rookies and International players who likely will sign with an MLB team will be needed. Thanks.

We are planning to have Draft Champions leagues started and the draft room open by mid-November this year. We'll start a DC signup list shortly as well and let you know the start date for those drafts. We are as excited to get the season rolling as you are.

Just an FYI: The early DCs will start with the current draft room, but we will have our new online draft room up and running before the New Year. The new online draft room will include photos of each player so that there isn't any confusion on who you are drafting, a separate Chat window that you can move to the side, and coded in HTML so that we don't have any Flash issues anymore. This should allow folks to draft on more devices going forward.

Oh, and please use the Draft Prep if you can because then your player default list will appear in every online draft that you do with the NFBC. It's a nice tool and it's now easier to change your initial list. You can tweak that draft list before each draft and your updated player default list will appear for every online draft going forward. I'm working on the default list now and hopefully we'll have the first 450 or so players in a meaningful order so that you won't have to search too far for players. We also now have a tool that allows us to easily update the online draft room list during the off-season so that if someone is injured and out for the year we can remove him or push him far down on the list. We think that list should be much better throughout the drafting season this year.

Thanks all. I'm good to go and we at least have a working list ready to go now. The International players won't get Player IDs until they sign with an MLB team, but we're ready for them and we have several rookies already with IDs and in the list.
