Does anyone have the latest category targets for 15 team mixed?

Based on last years results, my targets are:

HR - Get all you can get.
SB - Get all you can get.
RBI - Get all you can get.
R - Get all you can get.
BA - Don't draft Chris Davis.

ERA - Don't draft Tim Lincecum.
WHIP - Don't draft Ubaldo.
K - Get all you can get.
W - Get all you can get.
SV - Get all you can get.

If you follow this, you will still be screwed. Hope this helps. 8-) ;)
Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

I will give you the way I look at it. Maybe it works for you. I shoot for 80% of each category. If you look at last year's main event, the 80% mark is 336 (80 percent of 420). To achieve that in each category you would have needed:

Ave .267
Runs 988
HR 237
RBI 955
SB 155

ERA 3.32
WHIP 1.19
Ks 1415
Wins 100
Saves 89

If you would have gotten those totals you would have in all likelihood won your league and you would have finished 11th overall. Kind of amazing to look at those numbers. So different than just a few years ago. I remember always thinking along the lines of a .270 / 1050 / 260 / 1000 / 150 stat line. On the pitching side....1415 ks? Holy cow. I used to shoot for 1250. Wins and saves look about right / normal. Shows you how much things have changed (or how wrong my targets were :)).

Thanks, I agreee with the 80% approach, just didn't have the actual numbers. Some time ago Shawn Childs posted targets based on the aggregate averages of (I think) main event teams. It's something I like to do as another yet data point to track during drafts.

Thanks again for a helpful response.

LOL ... I agree with it all and especially the comments. The only possible exception would be Lincecum late in case Casilla blows up.

Good point, but Lince-bum in my mind is a heart/ball-breaker....in other words, perfect for my team...
