The Dark Side

Post by DOUGHBOYS » Tue Dec 23, 2014 12:10 am

This post doesn't belong here, but I don't care. For some reason I can't log onto the NFFC Boards.
I joined the many others this year and went over to the 'Dark Side'.
It was an easy decision. I had my good friend Roger Martin coaching me and had been helping my daughter with her free teams.
What clinched the decision for me was the NFFC Draft Championship rules.
No head to head.
I hate head to head in football. It proves nothing that one team scored more points in a given week than another random team.
It's a total points league with no lineups. Perfect for a guy like me who can 'Draft and Forget' his team. Which I thought would happen.
But, it turns out that I won two of my four leagues.
Two more Championships than I won in baseball last year. Which has to speak to the luck involved with going over to the Dark Side. :D

Anyway, I just wanted to let Greg, Tom, and anybody else know that they have a winner, as far as I concerned with Draft Championship leagues at the NFFC. And to thank them.
The first time I've enjoyed fantasy football in years and the 'hand off' approach to DC allowed me to study that much more baseball. And draft Baseball DC's while following Dark Side interest on Sunday's.
Best of both sides of the fantasy moon.

Thanks again.
On my tombstone-
Wait! I never had the perfect draft!

And not to let the cat out of the bag, but Doughboys is so addicted to fantasy football that he's also playing in our NFFC Post-Season Hold 'Em Contest, which has a $50,000 grand prize!! With any luck (no pun intended for Andrew), you may get another win under your belt Dan!! Thanks for the support and good luck.

And yes, the Draft Champions format in football where you do absolutely nothing after Draft Day is a FANTASTIC format. That's the type of format we need in baseball and will have one day, God willing!!! :D
