Breaking news, this just in: We are now sold out and ready to rock and roll with this bad boy! Here is the final official list of participants in this one:
1) MTM
1) Dan Kenyon
2) Bill Cleavenger
3) Joe Anthony
4) Dan Semsel
5) KJ Duke
6) Marc Perlmutter
7) Mike Mager
8) Eric Albright
9) Emory Upchurch
10) Robert Zidonik
11) Shawn Childs
12) George Kleeman
13) Roger Martin
14) Mike Edelman
15) Ante Meich
I am informing Greg to set this league up now and to register everyone. Everyone knows that we are committing to a minimum of 10 rounds per day, with the distinct possibility of challenging the new record that was just set with the completion of the first one yesterday evening. There is no reason why we can't with this group, so let's have fun and kick some ass...my only fear being that we are up against the combined age of about 300 years between Kenyon, Zidonik, and Kleeman. Hopefully this will not be too much of a handicap to us. Oops, did I say handicap? I meant to say the "physical challenge". Don't want to be too un-PC and insult the members of our senior community.
The only question I have is what time of the day to start this thing. I'm game for the usual 1:00 EST launch, but we could also start it later tomorrow night say 6:00 p.m. EST and just all be on to crank out an immediate 15 rounds from then until midnight or later to get us going. But then again, weekend plans come into play. Any thoughts?
Either way, this one is going to be as much fun as the first for sure.

Thanks Mike. A reminder that we can't set this one up until the current DC taking signups sells out. So please DO NOT register for this Fast/Slow league on the site. Once the current DC sells out Greg and I will get everyone in this Fast/Slow league signed up so you guys can get started.

Okay, then perhaps we should set this up for the 6:00 p.m. start Friday night if the other one fills up later today? There is no way to set this league up earlier? I don't get why you can't make this happen for us so we're not waiting around.

Nope. The 15 listed are it. There was some confusion because I told the participants in the other one that there were 4 spots left, when there were only three, so I had to give the open spots to the first three who responded. I already communicated this to the odd man out. Sorry. My bad.

Because the DC leagues are all auto-created. Once 15 signups come in a new league is created. This helps the process of league creation become much easier, smoother and more efficient. I apologize for any delay but it should be relatively minor. As soon as the current league sells out we'll get yours set up. All leagues are scheduled to start at 1 pm ET the following day but if you guys want to start later let us know once the league has been created. We'll stop the time on it and resume it when you guys want to begin. That won't be a problem.
Again, though, no one in this Fast/Slow league should sign up on the site. Greg or I will take care of everyone's registration. If anyone wishes to use different payment info for this league than what is currently on file please email me at
[email protected]. Thanks.

That works out well for you then because you were not invited.

I understand that, but with the next DC currently only with two participants so far, this could be a longer than expected wait for us. A lot of these guys are doing this one based on it being done in a four to five day time frame that begins tomorrow. There must be someway to bypass the system, Tom, isn't there? How do set up those express leagues to go on demand on short notice?

OK I signed everyone up but Dan is right, there are 16 names on the list Mike. Who shouldn't be in this league? Let me know ASAP. Thanks.

Okay, it has come to my attention by both Dough and Rog that I screwed up by not being able to count properly to 15. Hey! Math was never my strong suit. Anyway, Rog was actually the last guy to contact me this morning, so the early birds get the worms, and he has graciously volunteered to bow out. So below is THE FINAL LIST of competitors in this league of elite and semi-elite drafters.
1) MTM
2) Dan Kenyon
3) Bill Cleavenger
4) Joe Anthony
5) Dan Semsel
6) KJ Duke
7) Marc Perlmutter
8) Mike Mager
9) Eric Albright
10) Emory Upchurch
11) Robert Zidonik
12) Shawn Childs
13) George Kleeman
14) Mike Edelman
15) Ante Meich
Tom, please make note of this and get us off the deck and rolling ASAP! Thanks.

Thanks. I'll delete Roger's entry. So everyone should now be set up for this league to begin tomorrow at 1 pm ET. If anything doesn't look right let me know.

Thanks Tom. We are a go tomorrow at 1:00 p.m.then! This just so happens to be right smack in the middle of a very important two hour business meeting I will be in.
However, I will make the necessary arrangements based upon where I end up in the draft order, or someone can just text me when I'm up and I will excuse myself to make my pick.
Everyone be logged in and ready to go at the start. No facilitation should be needed at that time.

I'm going to need another day or two to hack into the Desperado mainframe so that I can steal his sheets. Unless he still hasn't changed his password.

I assume KDS will run after midnight tonight, so we will know the draft order first thing in the morning.
Just so everyone knows, I have an unavoidable (medical) commitment starting around 2 pm ET tomorrow that will probably keep me out of pocket for a few hours. I may be able to use Auto One (depending on where we are in the draft) when I have to leave for that commitment and should resurface by around 5 pm ET. My apologies to all in advance, and I will do my best to make up for this early delay as we go (including by drafting as late each night as others wish to go).

Shame on you for having a medical commitment, Marc!
What were you thinking!?
Seriously, it shouldn't be a problem. We'll work it out when we know draft order and timing.
No problem at all and thanks for the heads up.

Excuse me, but this thread is for men only, so please save your "comedic wit" for your Ladies Auxiliary meeting later this evening.

So for those of you following at home, this puppy was banged out by 15 fanatical and all-around professional owners in a new officially unofficial NFBC record, 48 hours and 17 minutes! It should be noted that this one could have been done at an even more astounding pace of around 36 hours if it weren't for a certain owner's west coast booty call right smack in the middle of a crack-induced-like drafting blitz with a few owners crapped out for the night and on auto. He did not realized until he was engaged in his after cuddling that he was not on auto, much to the chagrin of his perturbed and bleary-eyed league mates who were waiting on him to resume the draft. I have spared him the embarrassment by not mentioning his name here because he has young children.
All in all though, an incredible draft experience. They should all be this way. Respect, Passion, Communication, Cooperation, Fun, and of course, Fast!

Great job guys.
Mike, after reading the paragraph above I'm really surprised you'd have the stones to bitch about my misspelling of 'precedent'.
