Don't Delay On First Weekend Las Vegas Events

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Thu Feb 19, 2015 12:33 pm

Just a heads up that while some of you have good reason to wait to officially sign up for our First Weekend live events, we don't want everyone to wait until the last minute. We do not have another city to hook up with for any of these live drafts in Las Vegas, so when we get to a full league that we are comfortable with in the Main Event and the other contests we are going to shut them down. We are going to avoid teleconference leagues on that First Weekend as much as possible.

Today we filled up our 4th Main Event league in Las Vegas and last year we had 6 full leagues, or 90 participants. We will evaluate our signups when we get to 75 teams and then make a call. If we feel there's enough time to try for 90 teams, we will keep Registration open. But if it's late in the game and we feel good with where we are, we'll close Las Vegas out. We don't have another city to hook up to, so we have to move on with those owners who locked in early enough.

Same with the NFBC Primetime. We don't have additional space on Friday for multiple leagues at one time, so we are closing out the Primetimes once they fill and hopefully we can also fill up the Saturday and Sunday leagues. We have more space on the weekend to hold out for additional leagues, but Friday everything will be closed out once leagues fill.

Online will also be similar for both weekends. We have to fill out the Main Event leagues and Primetime leagues perfectly, so we're not going to drag these out if we can help it. It's time to sell out and move on, like we're doing with the Auction Championship leagues and the private auction and draft leagues. We are at a great place with our numbers to do this and to lock in leagues and move on.

Hope this helps. If you need to secure a spot in any of our leagues and just need a little extra time with payment, contact me at [email protected] or at 715-254-5553 and we'll make it work. We don't want anyone left out, but we certainly understand that many of you are working on travel plans and working on your finances before committing to the NFBC in 2015. We understand that. But let us help if we can.

We have a little more flexibility on the Second Weekend with three cities holding drafts on the same day and at the same times. But First Weekend has less flexibility. Plan accordingly everyone and thanks so much for your great support. Good luck in all your leagues and best of luck on your travel plans. It should be an incredible season once again.
