Re: 3 Spots Left In Chicago Auction Championship
NOW ONLY 3 SPOTS LEFT in the Chicago NFBC Auction Championship League that will be held at the Sheraton Northbrook on Friday, April 3rd at 4 pm CT. Last night we welcomed in two veteran NFBC owners to the auction format as Richard Kulaski and Chris Beeler have jumped in. Chris has been with the NFBC every year since 2005 and has drafted in Chicago four times. He's back for the Main Event in the Windy City and he's doing the Auction Championship League for the first time. Rich is a veteran of the NFBC and of the Chicago drafts and he's already signed up for the Main Event, but now he's going to try the Auction Championship for the first time. Should be a great, great day in Northbrook.
We now have ONLY 3 SPOTS LEFT for the Chicago Auction and the Chicago Primetime. Don't delay if you want to get into either one because these final spots could go fast. Here's a look at our updated Chicago Auction League:

Welcome aboard guys. Glad to have all of you. Will be fun.
Re: 2 Spots Left In Chicago Auction Championship
Awesome news. One of my favorite events of the year. Always surprised more people don't do auctions. Glad to see Richard and Russell in the auction, and John Lyons come back again, hopefully with an earlier flight this year. Looking forward to it. I'm bringing my A-game this year, men. Consider yourselves WARNED.

Re: 1 Spot Left In Chicago Auction Championship
Just a heads up that we have:
3 Spots Left in the Chicago Primetime League
8 Spots Left in the 2nd Chicago Main Event League
Can we fill up all three contests perfectly in the Windy City? We'll definitely try. Welcome to another new team in Chicago this year as the tag team of Adam Howe and Brad Thomas of Belding, Michigan are making the trek to the Windy City for our signature event. We're very happy to have them and all the new owners in Chicago this year. Thanks all.

Re: 1 Spot Left In Chicago Auction Championship
Well, now how cool is this?!!!
Our 2014 Main Event overall champions, the father-son duo of Dale & Greg Morgan of Westerville, Ohio, will be in Chicago on April 3rd and 4th for the Auction Championship League and the Main Event. What an awesome treat. They are Charter Members of the NFBC and if I recall Greg first drafted in Chicago and even did NFFC drafts and auctions there. We've come full circle guys and I couldn't be prouder.
We now have 15 teams listed for the Chicago Auction Championship League, but I think we're going to lose one owner to the New York $2500 Auction League. If that happens, then we have one spot left in Chicago for Friday's auction, but again I think we have someone waiting in the wings for it. He had to check his work schedule first, but wanted that spot and likely the Main Event. I couldn't be happier to see Chicago coming together so nicely because it's not easy with Easter weekend in the mix.
We now have 23 owners for the Main in Chicago, so let's get to 2 full leagues and see what happens after that. And the Primetime in Chicago also has only 3 spots left!! Let's fill them all up perfectly.
It will be great to have our $125,000 defending champions in the Chicago Main and we also have John Pausma, who won the $150,000 grand prize in the NFFC Primetime. We have royalty here and we better get some good pictures there!! Smile for the cameras guys!!
And keep that acceptance speech short Greg & Dale when we present you with a nice plaque for your accomplishments. The guys want to draft!!
It's going to be good fun and I'll alert Dean of the royalty so that he can take care of everyone. Should be a fun, fun time in the Windy City, so thanks everyone. And now let's fill up these final spots. Thanks.

Okay, we still have one spot left in the Chicago Auction Championship League. I was holding one spot for a past participant, but he can't make it to Chicago now. First one to grab this spot gets it and gets to compete against some great competitors. Let's fill this baby up. Thanks all and good luck.

WHOA!!!! East Coast in the house. It's nice to have some new blood in this. Gonna need to mentally prepare to get used to Kentucky Bill's accent replaced by a New Jersey one, though. Really looking forward to this.

Re: SOLD OUT: Chicago Auction Championship
Thanks for the nice welcome guys - really looking forward to returning to the Windy City. My son and I had
a great time two seasons ago, Chicago NFBC is a hidden gem! I didn't get a shot at my favorite format the last time,
this will be a blast.
COZ - the joisey accent is coming with me, my apologies ahead of time!
Vander - thanks, look forward to saying hello Sir. John P, should be a fun and competitive night.
Plenty of history with Team Morgan over the years. Will be a pleasure to do battle wit the Champ(s).
My son has class on Friday and I promised his Mom that I wouldn't mess with his schedule once he hit
college, but hoping he can fly out early Saturday to enjoy Final Four Saturday and a pair of drafts. My partner
in crime is Jim Christie, going to keep twisting his arm to join the fun.
OKAY CHICAGO - free Thursday night + trying to decide between the bucket list - Blackhawks game vs Canucks or a return trip to Maywood Park Harness? Best place for Chicago Style Pizza? Help me out.......

Blowinmudd - One of THE reasons I want to visit. Wayne Messmer was a longtime favorite, was lucky enough
to hear him 2 seasons ago at Wrigley Field but I don't think he has been the Anthem singer for the Hawks for
years. Hope to find out next month. Thx for weighing in. KM

Wayne would kill it at the old stadium! You couldn't hear the person next to you when he sang.
Jim Cornelison is second best to Wayne.
If you go, get their very early to check out all the statues outside and they allow the kids during warmups to go down to the glass. My kids loved it!I hope you can go.

Bryan - I thank you
Re: SOLD OUT: Chicago Auction Championship
If downtown Chicago, I would recommend the original Pizzeria Uno's or Due's (same as Uno's but the 2nd location and typically a bit less crowded simply because everyone has heard of Uno's but not Due's). Other options are Lou Malnatti's, Gino's East, or Giordano's. My ranking would be: 1) Pizzeria Uno's/Due's 2) Lou Malnatti's 3) Gino's East 4) Giordano's. You really can't go wrong with any of the above.Sack wrote: Best place for Chicago Style Pizza? Help me out.......
If suburbs, I would avoid the suburban chain Uno's and stick to one of the other 3 Pizzeria's. Also, a sleeper is Pequod's in Morton Grove not far from our draft venue. Much like making a first round draft pick, I would stick to the basics and not get too cute and go with the sure thing; any of the above pizzeria's fit that bill. Here's a little sampling to get you in the mood. I think you obviously made the right choice choosing Chicago. Damn, these pictures are making me HUNGRY. Enjoy.

Now that is what I was looking for, very nice! Equipped with photo's, bonus round.
I have Thursday to myself, so I think I'm going to give Lou Malnatti's a shot. Maybe a trip to
Hawthorne Race Course and then the BlackHawks. My son is booked for Saturday and I'm working on
Big Jimmy!
No trip to Chicago would be complete w/out seeing the Big Guy - Jack Haan! Hope Big Jack drops
