Draft Order For NFBC Champions League

Okay, the first official draft of the baseball season is ahead of us and the draft order has been selected. We have 15 past NFBC league champions set up for this event, which will take place on Wednesday, Dec. 13 at 7 p.m. EST on MockDraftCentral.com. Here's the draft order:

Without revealing any personal information, it's interesting to note that the KDS preferences were ALL OVER the board for this draft. Interestingly, FIVE different owners got their first preference as Eddie Gillis was picked fourth randomly, but moved up to the No. 1 pick when three others opted to go down in the draft order. One other owner got their second preference and two other owners got their third preference, so 8 out of 15 owners (53%) got one of their top three preferences. Only three owners had a preference lower than 6th as the Average Draft Preference was 4.87. Pretty amazing.



KDS preferences that were received in no particular order were:

Were those last ones defaults or did that many people really go 1,2,3,4,5 and so on? Also are we going 250 everybody? if so what are the payoffs? Count me in for 250 or whatever you guys decide.

Unfortunately there isn't any way for non-participants to watch the draft, but we'll post some of the early round results on the boards here for all to see. We'll have some fun with the data and with money on the line, the results should be good.

As I was pre-ranking players for tonights mock draft on mockdraftcentral, I noticed that it had some players eligible at positions that they are not going to be eligible at in 2007. For example, Chone Figgins had listed next to his name 2b,3b,ss,of when he only qualifies at 3b & of. Not a big deal for tonight's mock that means nothing, but for next Wednesday's Champions Draft is it on the owner to be aware of eligibility, b/c regardless of what the site says NFBC rules apply, correct? I just want to clear this up before Wednesday.

In the draft software for the NFBC drafts, Figgins will have 3B and OF eligibility only.

But just like our NFBC Satellite Leagues that use MDC, it's up to the owner to know which positions each player qualifies at as MDC does not necessarily reflect our eligibility rules.
