What Does The First Round Of 2016 Look Like?
Re: What Does The First Round Of 2016 Look Like?
This guy deserves some kudos as well I think for his post-AS shortstop stats....
4 HR, 42 R, 38 RBI, 6 SB, .346/.375/.443

Hits in the middle of a darn fine lineup too....
I wonder where Tulo will be drafted this year...
And his old teammate, CarGo.
CarGo could be a toughie for early season drafters. A lot of indications that the Rockies will trade him during the off season.

The PreMature E-Draftulation League will start Friday morn.
That's when the bullshit walks and money talks!
The only draft where other picks are as interesting as our own!
It should be fun to see how NFBC regulars place these players before national prognosticators do.
A thread will be started on the Boards to keep everybody informed......

Over 525 AB in 2015, 29 HR to date, 79 RBI, 94 Runs, 11 SB, .316 BA, .463 OBP.
Worthy of first round consideration? Hmmm?

Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

A wonderful case study.
He had more walks after the All-Star game than all but nine players in baseball had for the entire year.
The more Todd Frazier slumped, the less pitches he saw to hit.
First round?
Have at him!!!

Those numbers look a lot better than Miggy. I think they are both second round in 2016.Edwards Kings wrote:Over 525 AB in 2015, 29 HR to date, 79 RBI, 94 Runs, 11 SB, .316 BA, .463 OBP.

Leave it to the premature league to prematurely e-draftulate, but the first pick of the 2016 season was a surprise (at least to me)!DOUGHBOYS wrote:The PreMature E-Draftulation League will start Friday morn.

The Maker's Mark wasn't top shelf enough last year? As for Tannehill, I think he's fueling Tom's hate even more for him with each passing (pun intended) game. No change coming from Tommy there!! Let's see the First Round boys!!

We are only seven picks into the draft.
When the first round is complete, it'll be posted.

Just to clarify, you view Carlos Correa as a third rounder in 2016? He's, at best, the 31st name on your overall board?ToddZ wrote:BS went out the window for me years ago...NorCalAtlFan wrote:
cut the bullsh*t todd. i'm not letting correa fall to you!
Willing to bet the market likes Correa 2 rounds higher than me and I like Lindor 2 rounds higher than the market.
Re: What Does The First Round Of 2016 Look Like?
With the caveat that my projection rank and where I'd take a player don't always jive, that's a fair statement, yes.Yah Mule wrote:

Re: What Does The First Round Of 2016 Look Like?
springer won't be a bargain next March anywhere. I don't have adp from just the live events this past March/April but I'm willing to bet he was going early to mid 2nd. This year will be no different. I think puig and marte were getting just as much love. Only one of the three was able to stay healthy though.Captain Hook wrote:In an OBP league yes - not with BA as the category - but likely a second round pickGekko wrote:i'd like to see what george springer could do with a full season of at bats. in his 637 career AB, he's been injured, but still put up 34hr and stole 20 bases. my early pick of the year to go 30/30
I got some flack when I took him in the 2nd round of the TOUT mixed draft league but with a .359 OBP and double digit HR and SB he has been worth it despite the time off (thankfully they have DL slots)

Re: What Does The First Round Of 2016 Look Like?
The new depth available at shortstop in 2016 will take away some of the lure of drafting a Tulo or a Correa in the first round for me. Todd is correct about Lindor, but other sophomores may present much better value as well. Corey Seager, Addison Russell, Ketel Marte all come to mind. Add in the steps forward taken by Bogearts and Crawford, the shortstop position seems greatly improved.
