NFBC Online Auction Leagues Offered In 2016

One of the unique growth areas last year in the NFBC was the Online Auctions that were pushed and supported by Todd Zola and Andy Saxton. They pushed these and helped us run them on RT Sports last year and I believe we finished with almost 20 different leagues.

I reached out to Mark and Tim at RT Sports last year to make sure it was okay to use their online auction software for baseball and football and they were very cool about it. Tim said he was honored to have the NFBC guys using their software and to continue using it when needed. So I'm very much behind this format if folks want to do these again this year.

Some people will question why we just don't build this ourselves, but it's not an easy project to finish with all we have going on here. We've always had a great relationship with RT Sports and this is a solution for now. We will pay those who help us with these auctions and will continue to transfer the results to our system and run those leagues here.

Last year we offered the following Online Auctions, with the reserve rounds drafting on the NFBC site:
$125 DC
$250 DC
$500 DC

We can also duplicate 30-round Satellite Leagues at $125 and $250 as well, or a 12-teamer at $150 or $250. What we'd do there is host the online auction for the first 23 rounds and finish the reserve draft via email or on our site. We can figure out those last 7 rounds pretty easily.

We don't have a set schedule for any of these online auctions at this point, but we can create signup threads if needed. Maybe we can even pick a day or two of the week that becomes our "online auction" offering. Let us know and we'll get it done.

Wow, just checked RT sports and it looks like a couple of leagues have been created, one to draft January 9. Are they up and running? Glad NFBC uses their draft software for auctions, it's very reliable.

When you try and crate a mock draft auction, you get an error saying you cannot create auctions until January 15, 2016
