Can somebody please tell Atlanta to stop fleecing the DBacks? First Toussaint and now Swanson. For Shelby Miller and $9.5 in salary relief?
I guess that's a component of having old school baseball guys like LaRussa and Stewart running your organization.
Enough Atlanta!!!

If you're looking to make a deal, you owe it yourself to check with AZ first. They should have run that package past the Marlins.

Right. Toussaint crapped out in High A (walked 33 batters in less than 49 IP) Rome after he came over and at 19 may crack the Braves about the time Congress solves the deficit. D'Backs gave up a looooooooong range prospect so the Braves would take Arroyo's salary.Philly High Hopes wrote:Can somebody please tell Atlanta to stop fleecing the DBacks? I hate parting with Miller, but Swanson gives the Braves a MI that will probably hit the majors ahead of Ozhaino Albies. Gotta love those Georgia high schoolers/Vandy Commodores. Blair has two and a half pitches (curve lags the fastball/changeup) but will be in the rotation sometime in 2016 ahead of Sean Newcomb though Newcomb has more upside.
Inciarte has only to step over the prone body of Bourn to start. Not sure where they will hit him as his .340 OBP does not scream lead-off (but compared to the rest of the Braves?). Yes, he will probably lead off, so that is a good positional pick-up for the Braves.
Yes, I think the Braves made out fine with the Miller trade. Can't imagine them doing much better.
So the Braves rotation is Teheran, Wisler, Norris, Banuelos starting the year? Needs a lot of luck to be even serviceable.
Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

"According to ESPN's Jayson Stark, the Braves are open to trading outfielder Ender Inciarte.
Inciarte was part of the big package Atlanta acquired from Arizona in this week's Shelby Miller trade. Stark says a dozen teams have already called the Braves about the 25-year-old, who hit .303/.338/.408 with six home runs, 45 RBI, and 21 stolen bases in 132 games for the Diamondbacks in 2015. Inciarte carries five years of contractual control. It comes as no shock that he's popular."
Really....

Maybe the Braves should trade him back to Arizona for Bradley and a few other prospects?
