NYC this Year

Post by Bjs2025 » Fri Jan 29, 2016 9:54 pm

I'm heading to NYC for the auction championship this year. What are the best places to eat around the Hilton? I was browsing around town earlier but am looking for some anecdotal evidence. I'm planning on getting to the city by noon Thursday and want to do a couple things before the auction. Thanks!

Seymour, all I can tell you is that you are going to be in the right place. The Hilton isn't that far from Times Square, so pretty much anywhere you walk around and explore in the area is going to have some good options to eat. It all depends what you're looking for. Catch a Broadway show perhaps Friday after the auction (I'm partial to Jersey Boys ;) ), and then come join us late around midnight at Rosie O'Grady's a couple of blocks away from the Hilton for the MTM Super post-draft festivities, a steak dinner, and drinks with what is sure to be a good crowd as usual. I'll have a thread up about this later this evening. Hope to catch you there!

Brian,
Think you said you are just in town for the day Thursday right? If you never been...Id walk around times square as well as Rockefeller center. IF weather is nice, Central park is cool too. I'll be getting in around noon on Thursday as well for the weekend. I love the Irish pub on 53rd and 7th(right around corner from Hilton). They have great wings and it's a Irish pub/sports bar feel. Make sure you get to the Hilton room a little early too. Always fun to meet people at live events and put faces to names. Enjoy!
