The inefficiencies of the site has been touched on in another thread.
ie, Prince Fielder listed at 1B, Miguel Sano, 3B, and many, many others.
Also, Sean Manaea was traded from KC to Oak in July. He is still listed with KC in the draft room.
Can the main players like Fielder, Sano, and Schwarber be fixed?

In each draft I've been in, phone drafters curse about how hard the site makes it for them.
It is tough for them to draft and so hard to chat, that they give up.
This isn't right.
Chatting is part of the wonderful fun of a DC. It shouldn't be a hardship.

We had a new draft room last year. This year, we're back to the old room.
Is the new draft room being updated? Will it be more mobile friendly for these drafters?
When will it be used again?
Also, I liked the new venue we had for FAAB last year. I know some did not.
Will we still be able to use the new FAAB this coming year?

Also, phone drafters will use the auto1 feature. Then check in later to see how the draft is progressing.
When doing this, it takes auto1 off, defeating the purpose of auto1.

Dan, Fielder and Sano are both listed at UT in the draft room and on the draft board. I explained that in the Draft Results thread. If other players are wrong in the draft room please let me know and I'll ask IT to update. We don't want them wrong there any more than you do. Sure, I'll tell IT to update Manaea. Thanks.

I don't understand about the phone drafters complaining about Chat, but sure we want a better Chat in the online draft room. The Flash and old HTML were designed long ago before DCs took off. The new HTML draft room allows you to pop out a separate Chat window and post easily. But we're redesigning that room because people didn't like the draft results being horizontal along with a few other items. Heck, it will take time for people to get used to any new draft room. We hope to roll it out in a few DCs in January, work out the bugs and have it for the majority of the drafting season.

We will have only one FAAB this year. The old one is being phased out as we said last year. It's been two years with both and it's just not feasible to keep updating both FAAB listings. We will have only the new FAAB this year. Hope that helps.

The issue regarding the auto draft feature being undone if checking in by phone has been an issue for a few years. If you click on auto and then later check in by phone, it unchecks. I know that I have to check it
again, but new players dont know this. So it causes delays. Since it is a DC, it isn't an emergency fix but it should be fixed so that new players dont get frustrated. Personally I can only access the html draft room from my droid. No access to the new draft room. Otherwise things are going pretty smoothly. I think there is always a lot of pressure to get these early drafts started and it does come with some repercussions, like positional issues and missing rookies. I think Greg has been right on the positional issues but the auto draft flaw has yet to be fixed.

Spot on Alan. There isn't another pay-to-play site in the industry drafting baseball right now. Heck, RT Sports doesn't go live until mid-January. We're fortunate to be drafting in November and December. Tell us what tweaks we need to make and we'll forward to IT.

I think much of the frustration comes from the fact that none of these issues are new. This is my third year of doing DC's and all of the issues mentioned have been brought up in each prior season, added to a list for IT and sent off. I keep expecting Bill Murray to run by carrying a groundhog.

During working hours, I use a PC. The chat function works fine on it. At night and on the weekends, I use an iPad and iPhone. The chat function on an iPad and iPhone using the old draft room is just about unworkable. As soon as you try to type something in the chat, the site refreshes and what you typed is lost. You have a few seconds to type and hit enter, thereby precluding any real substantive chat. I believe this issue is well known to Greg and Tom. Similarly, the Auto Draft problems also should be well known. You hit Auto on one device (for example, your PC) and then when you check in on another device (for example, your phone), it automatically turns Auto off. Longtime NFBC'ers know of this problem and double-check things whenever they are using Auto and hop into and out of the draft room. Folks not as accustomed to these peculiarities typically are caught by surprise. It usually causes 2-3 extended delays in most DCs unless they are the organized ones with only NFBC veterans.

I think the reliance on mobile devices for drafting purposes is growing and growing, particularly for DCs. In this regard, the draft room being used currently is a poor introduction to the NFBC for newcomers (especially ones using Apple products). To the extent folks can chat, there is frequent discussion of these types of technical difficulties in the chat room. My recollection is that the newer draft room, which we do not have access to currently, fixed the chat issues. Can't recall if it fixed the Auto issues. If the NFBC and/or drafters had issues with the layout of the new draft room, I would have hoped that they could have been fixed in-season (April through October 2015) so that the room would be available now, during drafting season. Hopefully, it will be reintroduced shortly.

Fielder and Sano are both listed as UT in the Flash draft room and on the draft board. In the old HTML draft room they do not have any position eligibility, which means they are UT only. Under Draft Results, they are both listed as DH. So the one place it is showing up wrong is within the Chat after the pick is made.

That's not acceptable, I realize, but it's pretty clear in the draft room that Fielder is not 1B eligible. The eligibility list is under NFBC Resources if you need to double check on the eligibility of any player. Good luck all and sorry for any confusion.

Trying not to beat a dead horse; just offering this up as clarification and a slight correction to Greg's post. It is not accurate to say that the only place Fielder shows up as a UT or DH is in the chat box. Fielder is listed as a 1B in the Draft Results list within the Draft Room in the HTML version. I am still drafting in League #3562, and it clearly has him as a 1B in that list, but not the Flash one; there he's listed as UT. However, the main point is that, when we're involved with these DC drafts that can take several days, many of us cannot always be a slave to a laptop or PC, and we're forced to draft via a mobile device, and those of us with Android-based devices have no other option but to draft from their phone -- and that means using the HTML version. And in that version, Fielder was most definitely listed as a 1B. I was traveling at the time it was my turn to pick and according to the HTML version I was forced to use, only Papi, and NOT Fielder, was designated as DH only. Otherwise I wouldn't have drafted him and Papi if I knew I couldn't start both at the same time. Apologies if I'm being a pain; just wanted to clarify. Thanks.

Anyone using an iPhone or iPad to draft in an expert league can use the Flash draft room using Puffin Browser Pro. Five bucks to avoid headaches and stress until the HTML5 draft room returns seems worth it.

The old yet valuable lesson of not over-promising and under-delivering has still not been learned when it comes to what to expect from STATS and IT. We are second class citizens when it comes to them, and unfortunately Greg is the fall guy all the time. It's complete bullshit that we are over 60 drafts into a new fantasy baseball season, and we are dealing with dozens of old draft room issues, especially when it comes to trying to draft remotely from a mobile device, because we have been relegated to using an inferior product due to the fact the new product which was rolled out last year had a glitch or two that could have been fixed in the months since the last season ended. Enough with the spin, just give us the best functional product that we all deserve. There is no excuse as the premiere season long fantasy game in the industry that we should expect or demand anything less the best with no excuses.

I thought is was my own setup but now I'm seeing it on multiple devices for nearly a week. Every time I go to NFBC it requires another login despite having checked the "Remember Me" box.

Forums don't require logins every time so I can't see it being a setting on my devices. Cookies are enabled.
