A New DC Draft- SOLD OUT
A New DC Draft- SOLD OUT
NFBC Drafters completed a DC Draft in 58 hours. I believe that 'like minded' drafts are the way to go in this format.
I want to do one more of these.
Mike the Mouth is the best facilitator for these drafts, but is burnt out in the time it takes away from his real life.
So, lets try something different before going into the Big Drafts.
Let's use the clock as the facilitator.
Here's how it'll work...
$150 DC Draft to start at 1 P.M., EST, Sunday, March 13.
The clock is re-set for one hour after each pick, not eight hours, not four hours.
For those that have done fast DC's, realization is that most picks are made within minutes and the clock, even at one hour, hardly comes into play.
At 11 P.M., EST, each night, Greg will re-set the clock from one hour to eight hours, allowing picks for those who are up and sleep for drafters who are not.
At 11 A.M., EST, each morning, Greg will re-set the clock back from eight hours to one hour. Rinse and repeat.
This draft is for those who keep regular tabs and only need minutes to pick.
If enjoyed by all, this could be a test run for similar drafts for next year.
Who's game?
1. Dan Kenyon
2. Ante Meich
3. Don Warner
4. Matthew Bannister
5. Rich Van Fleet
6. David Miller
7. Jim Jeckewicz
8. Kenny Enfield
9. Clark Olson
10. David Rimel
11. Eric Albright
12. John Pacca
13.

Re: A New DC Draft
Yeah, this is easy to do and a good idea Dan. The system is set up easily to set the draft order at 1 hour per pick and to change it to 8 hours at night. Tom and I are watching drafts every night, so someone just remind us at 11 pm ET and we'll do it. Easy enough and everyone wins. Great idea!!
We can do these as often as you want over the next 10-12 days. Thanks all.
Oh, and we will sign you up once you have a full league. Just sign up on the boards and once the league is full we can have everyone registered and this league formed in 15 minutes. The draft will start at 1 pm ET the next day. Great stuff.

Anybody else?
I have a deadline of filling this by Saturday night.
Remember that even with a one hour clock, you will have plenty of time between picks. We're not trying to set a new record here.
I'm hoping to finish in a week so this draft will be finished before travel plans for some folks kick in for the Big events....

What the heck, I've already blown my budget so badly the Dolphins are looking at me as their new capologist.

Dan,
What a fantastic idea. sadly I am in class all next week and will not be able to meet the needs of the draft and other drafters. Bummer cause Id love to draft with you guys and get one more DC in. Great idea for next year and hopefully it will come to fruition. Enjoy the draft and keep in touch.
