Gregory - I just got my copy of fantasy sports magazine. I have to say, I love all the pics. It really shows owners that real people win money. One thibg I didnakt like is that there isn't more of a breakdown of the overall prize structure for the main event.
For example, this is what a reader sees...
Entry fee $1,300
League Prizes $5,000 for 1st; $2,250 for 2nd; $750 for third.
Overall Prize $100,000
If anyone ever ran the numbers, they'd think you are a pirate stealing all the booty. That is very untrue.
Newbies look for ROI. I'd suggest listing ALL the prizes

Are those numbers correct? I thought 2nd and 3rd place came up. Is the payout still 75%?
Chance favors the prepared mind.

Yes, the fullpage color ad on page 7 has the incorrect league prizes. Should be $2,500 and $1,000...correct

We have the two-page ad in our second issue as well with new photos of league winners. It will be a staple of the magazine going forward for football and baseball. We even put a new winner on the cover of the second issue, something I'll do each year going forward.
We'll have an ad on the fantasy baseball column of the next four issues of USA Today Sports Weekly and we have ads in the Rototimes.com and Rotowire.com magazines. We have Google ad word ads in a lot of spots for the rest of the weeks leading up to our deadline and so far those have worked perfectly. MLB.com will send out two e-mail blasts for us as well to their users in mid-February and March 1st and the button on their site has been helpful so far as well. So we're doing our best to get the word out about the NFBC and hopefully it will lead to another sellout in 2007. So far so good.

I have tried to promote nfbc on both cbssportline boards as well as mock drafts on mdc. Many players there are from other venues. Best game in town.
