(sorry to start the thread early, it's just today I promise)
For the third game in a row, Dusty Baker is batting Murphy in the cleanup slot.
His advisers must have read the comments by Kenyon and clued him in...
I'm expecting fewer IBB for Harper and more runs scored by the Nats.

Re: May 14th Gameday Thread
Another great outing by Nola tonight. I'm really liking what I'm seeing with him.
While he was a top 10 pick, his scouting report was that he had command of multiple pitches, but limited upside due to only throwing in the low 90's. A future 3 or maybe 2 starter.
Teams will still continue to chase big framed pitchers that throw 95+ with poor control over a someone that can actually pitch and locate with movement. Maddux was OK. Even Glavine, Halliday, Cliff Lee ...
Phils will be faced with a similar decision in a few weeks with the first pick. Do they go with the big 6' 6" lefty Puk from Florida who has been solid but not dominating? He's had command issues but hey, he's a 6'6" lefty. And I just can see gambling on Groome, the high school lefty from New Jersey. Recent mocks have them selecting Kyle Lewis, OF from Mercer. I'm beginning to think that may be the best option. Unfortunately there's not a Harper or Strasburg this year.

Great ending to the Phils-Reds game. Goeddel throws out Suarez with a collision at the plate. Fightins 1/2 game out of first.
