Jeanmar Gomez gets traded - Hector Neris becomes new Phillie closer
Jesus Colomme gets traded - Brad Boxberger becomes new Rays closer
Brandon Maurer gets traded - Ryan Buchter becomes new San Diego closer
Huston Street gets traded - Cam Bedrosian becomes new Angels closer (Bedrosian may become closer even if Street not traded)
Trades that I am hoping for today

As a Kyle Schwarber owner, I'm hoping for these:
Brian McCann gets traded - Gary Sanchez becomes new Yankee bat, catcher eligible
Nick Hundley gets traded - Rockies recall Dustin Garneau

Robertson traded, Jones new closer.
Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

Derek Norris gets traded to a hitter's park and does not lose playing time
Actual I just need for him to get traded as I think he will lose time if not if he stays with SD

Go ahead, make my day...

McCann clears waivers.
Yanks continue to clean house.
To Mets for Wheeler?
McCann does have full no trade clause but he would stay in town and get a crack at the playoffs, no?
Especially with the hand writing on the wall.
Put Cespedes (when he's finished the back nine) between the Bruce-McCann lefty bats.
Maybe the Yanks can package Headley in that deal.

There is absolutely no way the Mets and Yankees make that trade (and probably any trade for that matter). Mets won't trade Wheeler to the Yankees. Are you kidding me? Never gonna happen. McCann is just another all or nothing lefty bat that the Mets have way too many of and is making ridiculous money (49 million for 3 years after this year).Atlas wrote:McCann clears waivers.

McCann will end up back with the Braves. Yanks will toss in most of his salary, get a couple of low minors pitchers and a bag of smoked sausages. McCann on the roster to open the new stadium.
