The 2017 NFBC Main Event Is NOW SOLD OUT!!

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Tue Mar 07, 2017 9:08 am

We topped 470 teams in the NFBC Main Event last night and now it's time to fill up the remaining leagues and host these drafts. This is beyond our expectations, so the overall prizes will get a small bump if we can fill these last two leagues. Great job everyone. Thanks all and good luck.

Okay, we just Sold Out the New York Main Event, so everything on the First Weekend is done. We have just two offerings left and both are on Saturday, April 1st. Remaining spots include:

SOLD OUT: Las Vegas Saturday, April 1st, 10 am PT
SOLD OUT: Main Online Saturday, April 1st, 1 pm ET

The rest of the Mains are sold out:

SOLD OUT: Las Vegas Saturday, March 25th at 10 am PT
SOLD OUT: New York Saturday, March 25th at 1 pm ET (4th league)
SOLD OUT: Las Vegas Thursday, March 30th at 5 pm PT
SOLD OUT: Saturday, March 25th Online
SOLD OUT: Main Online Monday, March 27th, 8 pm ET
SOLD OUT: Main Online Wednesday, March 29th, 8 pm ET
SOLD OUT: Main Online Thursday, March 30th, 8 pm ET

We still have a lot of NFBC veterans who are working on their schedules to still join the NFBC Main Event. Only time will tell if we have enough for a sellout or not, but as you all know the prizes are guaranteed no matter what the final number is, so good luck.

There are some people who are waiting to sign up because they are waiting to hold off on payment. If that's your case and you know which draft date you want, give me a shout at [email protected] or at 715-254-5553 and I'll secure that spot for you. I don't want anyone missing out on the Main because they waited too long to sign up. Give me the chance to help you out and we'll make it work.

Okay, you see the remaining spots above. We can't wait much longer to fill up these leagues, so let's get busy these next two weeks and fill these up. Thanks all and good luck.

Just a heads up that if you are coming to Las Vegas on Second Weekend and want to do the Main Event, jump in soon. We have 10 Spots Left for the Saturday, April 1st Main Event and once that 6th league is full we will close out Las Vegas. We just don't have space for more than 6 leagues, so once we get to 90 signups there we are full. We are at 80 teams right now. Thanks all and good luck.

If you want to secure a spot that weekend just give me a holler at [email protected] or at 715-254-5553. Thanks all and good luck.

Here are the ones to keep an eye on:

James Maples closed out our First Weekend Auction League in Las Vegas and now he's added the Main Event as well. We have 30 owners for that weekend, but Joe Anthony is flexible and could move to another date. He was helping us out when it looked like we would have trouble filling two leagues in Las Vegas. Now we're in great shape.

So technically we are Sold Out in Las Vegas, but we could take one more live body if needed. Great job everyone and thanks Joe for being flexible. This is shaping up like a great, great kickoff to the season.

Spots are limited now across the board. We've had almost 50 Main Event signups this last week, so thanks everyone. Great, great job and now things are really shaping up nicely. Good luck in all of your leagues.

Wow, what a day for NFBC Main Event. We might have set a new record for signups today for this contest. Now let's keep it going and sell this thing out.

A lot of the Main Event leagues are close to selling out or have sold out. Here's a few of the leagues closest to selling out:

3 Spots Left: Saturday, March 25th Online
15 Spots Left: New York Saturday, March 25th at 1 pm ET (4th league)

We also are working on the Thursday Main Event at the Bellagio that starts at 5 pm PT:

1 Spot Left or possibly Sold Out already: Las Vegas Thursday, March 30th, 5 pm PT

Also that weekend in Las Vegas:

10 Spots Left: Las Vegas Saturday, April 1st, 10 am PT

And here are our remaining spots in the Main Event Online:

7 Spots Left: Main Online Monday, March 27th, 8 pm ET
6 Spots Left: Main Online Wednesday, March 29th, 8 pm ET
11 Spots Left: Main Online Thursday, March 30th, 8 pm ET

We just filled our third Main Event League Online on Saturday, April 1st at 1 pm ET. We will open another league and should easily fill that one in the next 3 weeks. Great job everyone and let's keep things rolling.

We're glad to welcome back veteran Bob Mazur to the Main Event as he is taking teams on March 30th and April 1st. Steve Elbaum closed out that April 1st Online League, while Josh Lindell is jumping into our signature event on Thursday, March 30th. There's a lot of action taking place today as we are now within 65 teams of a sellout. Great job this week everyone. On Tuesday morning when I started this thread we had 99 spots left. We're making quick work of these remaining spots.

Thanks and good luck all.

We got three more signups for the Main Event in New York City, so a 4th Main Event League in the Big Apple is possible. We still have some work to do to fill this in New York, but Tom is calling around now. If you have any interest in returning to the New York Hilton with us, contact Tom at [email protected] or sign up online. Should be fun.

We're also down to ONLY 3 SPOTS LEFT in the Wednesday, March 29th Main Online. That one is closing out once we get to three full leagues. Thanks all and keep the signups coming. We are nearing 400 teams today.

We're closing in on 400 teams now, so don't delay if you want to compete in the NFBC Main Event this year. I wasn't sure we'd sell out for a 13th straight season when the week started, but we've had 46 Main Event signups since Tuesday morning. That might be a record for us. Let's keep it going and close it out with 53 more teams. Great job everyone, so THANKS.

These mid-week Main Event Onlines are going fast and we still have 4 Mains Online on the First Weekend. Watch these leagues fill up and close soon:

4 Spots Left: Saturday, March 25th Online
5 Spots Left: Main Online Monday, March 27th, 8 pm ET
3 Spots Left: Main Online Wednesday, March 29th, 8 pm ET
5 Spots Left: Main Online Thursday, March 30th, 8 pm ET

Keep an eye on the Countdown for each contest here:

NOW ONLY 2 SPOTS LEFT in the Wednesday, March 29th Main Event Online. Once that league is full we will close off that draft date. It's time to fill these up and move on. Thanks all and good luck.

NOW ONLY 1 SPOT LEFT in the Wednesday, March 29th Main Event Online at 8 pm ET. We will close out this draft date once this league fills as we still have four other Online leagues we need to fill. Thanks all and good luck.

Oh, and our latest signup -- No. 399, by the way -- is none other than Artie Rastelli, the overall champion of our first $100,000 grand prize in 2004. Artie had a memorable last weekend in 2004 as he was tied for first place as of Friday, but pulled away for the win on Saturday and Sunday. It was a fantastic finish to a solid debut season here.

Welcome back Artie and best of luck trying to win this year's $125,000 grand prize.

Now, who wants to fill the Wednesday Main Event league up? :D

We are now at 400 teams for the Main Event as we closed out the Wednesday, March 30th Main Event Online. This one is closed with three full leagues and all 45 teams will be randomly selected to form the three leagues. Thanks all and good luck.

Kudos to Joe Berg for closing that draft date out. Now let's work on the four other available draft dates. Thanks all and good luck.

Okay, I changed my mind about the Wednesday, March 29th Main Event Online. I decided to keep it open and try for one more league that night and sure enough we already got a signup. So 14 SPOTS LEFT for that one. We have time to fill one more on that date, so let's give it a roll.

Thanks all. NOW ONLY 48 SPOTS LEFT in the 2017 Main Event!!
