Draft Spots To Be Announced Today For March 25th Mains

Good luck everyone as we will be announcing draft picks today for the Saturday, March 25th Main Events and the NFBC Super League. We'll post these on your team pages and on the Message Boards shortly. All KDS preferences should be finalized by now. Thanks and good luck.

It's always fun to see who is in your league and what draft spot you have. It's kind of like Christmas for season-long fantasy players. Hopefully all of you get a spot you wanted, but in 15-team leagues that's never easy. The good news is that you can win from any spot, as we've seen before!! Our defending champion, Rob Silver won the $125,000 grand prize last year from the 15th spot, so it can be done.

It's not a surprise that the majority of owners set their KDS preferences with the early picks as their favorites. A lot of owners had 1-7 in order before changing their last preferences. If you don't get a Top 3 pick it likely means that you weren't randomly picked first, second or third in the draft order. Considering that your odds of getting a Top 3 pick are 20% it's more likely that you won't get one than you will.

That being said, KDS worked pretty good for the early Main Event leagues I looked at. I saw one league have three owners get their first preference as one owner moved down to 7 after randomly being picked first and another owner moved to 12 from a Top 3 spot. One owner this weekend even had 15 as their top preference, so it's different choices for different folks.

The end of the draft is the least preferred as it is every year, but someone has to be randomly picked in those last three spots in every league. It happens. The good news is that last year's $125,000 winner, Rob Silver, drafted 15th last year and so did other league champions. It can be done from any spot in the draft order with good picks in Rounds 1 through 30.

Just a heads up that we have some interest in a live $350 Online Championship draft on Friday at 4 pm PT and Saturday at 4 pm PT. We'd do it in Renoir 1 where the auctions and Main drafts are being held. It's not something we have to do, but as long as we're in Las Vegas adding another draft never hurt anyone. Thanks for considering.
