Congrats to Rotoworld!
Looks to me like the site is moving on up re: advertising dollars. (I don't have figures...just my gut feeling)
Today was the first time I can recall seeing full blown major companies using their website for advertising. (Hidden Valley Ranch)
That's progress. Good Job!

Funny you mention them. I have always looked at their site and thought "I should go get one of my private equity friends to fund me to buy them". Here are my thoughts:
1. They did a great job on re-doing the site and getting a more professional look. Actually I know NFBC isn't as concerned about this, but I think the NFBC could do with a graphics make over as well
2. They have given away content for years to build advertising and brand
3. While you may not love their analysis, they do a great job of providing a valuable service
4. They have introduced a magazine, draft kit to help them monetize their income
What I would do if I where them:
Now that they have fixed the terribly unprofessional look they used to have, I would continue to monitize the site by:
1. Create a yearly / monthly membership fee that would take services like Wireless and Alerts and make them a value add, instead of free. In particular, I would create a sophisticated set of alerts that go to cell phones or email that would alert people to specific categories such as "Potential Closer Change", "Hot Prospect Callup", etc...
2. Change the advertising to a combination of current and Google ads
Anyway, as a strategy and business development guy, I can't help but ponder thoughts like this

Spyhunter, I think you might be too late to buy (fund) them...
They are a part of All-Star stats for a while now, and I think the other ad content is coming from some kind of partnership with nbcsports. They are bigtime, at least in our little world.
They are looking for software developers, have been for a while, which means they may be interested in building the tools you mention. I would love to help them, but I couldn't take the pay cut just to work for someone with a 'Cool' site.

I heard NBC Sports purchased allstarstats so I think that is where they stand now.

I would think they could easily find a few tech / bb guys who would work for peanuts (or perhaps a tiny % of ownership). Glad to see them getting even more successful as I use their service alot
