IT'S ABOUT TIME!!!

Nice looking first round so far and I think very accurate. Here's the list:

2018 NFBC First Draft
1. Mike Trout
2. Paul Goldschmidt
3. Clayton Kershaw
4. Jose Altuve
5. Aaron Judge
6. Carlos Correa
7. Mookie Betts
8. Nolan Arrenado
9. Trea Turner
10. Bryce Harper
11. Max Scherzer
12. George Springer

Who wants to make lucky number 13?

I'm going to Tweet out the first round when we're done and I think it will get some notice. Thanks all.

Buyers haven't received much bang for their buck in drafting Kris Bryant or Manny Machado in the top half of the first round in most drafts this year.
The multiple eligibility helped in enticing drafters to make them such a high selection.
Some took Bryant higher than Trout last year.
Chagrined now, that even with Trout missing 45 games, that Bryant ended the first half of the season with just two home runs and two rbi more than Trout.
It looks like neither Machado or Bryant will retain that dual eligibility. Both on par to be listed as mere mortals at third base next year, with Bryant needing 10 more outfield games and Machado needing a Managerial decision to move him to shortstop.
To tell the truth, I don't know what Machado's problem has been.
Maybe it's Homeritis, I don't know.
But, I believe that Bryant has been nicked up in one way or the other most of the year and believe that next year, he will be back to an MVP player.
At least, that is my thought in selecting him as the 13th pick.

13- Kris Bryant, 3B, CHI
On my tombstone-
Wait! I never had the perfect draft!

Given how many great players have yet to be picked, looks like the back end of the first/first picks of the second is going to be a strong place to draft from....again.
Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

Okay, the first round has been set at the All-Star break for 2018. A lot can happen between now and November, but this looks like a great start. Take a look:

2018 NFBC First Draft
1. Mike Trout
2. Paul Goldschmidt
3. Clayton Kershaw
4. Jose Altuve
5. Aaron Judge
6. Carlos Correa
7. Mookie Betts
8. Nolan Arrenado
9. Trea Turner
10. Bryce Harper
11. Max Scherzer
12. George Springer
13. Kris Bryant
14. Charlie Blackmon
15. Freddie Freeman

Anyone want to start the second round?

Chris Sale could win 20 with 300 K's and has an 0.90 whip, looks like next best bet. Better than more than a few above him, actually.

17. Anthony Rizzo

BA is down but he's picked it up lately, and 20 dingers/56 RBI/52 Runs at the Break isn't bad at all. I would be betting that he turns back into the 2016 version. And if you play in a league using OBA, he jumps up to mid-late first round IMHO.
