I realize I am an on an island here, but no super hero movie as an adult, has ever met expectations the way comic books did when I was a kid.

Speaking of comics, Yogi Berra was an avid comic book reader (I know, big surprise)
Berra roomed with Bobby Brown, who was studying medical journals to be a Doctor.
Later, Brown would be American League President.

One night, Berra and Brown were reading before curfew.
Berra, his favorite comics, Brown, the thickest of journals.
The knock came on the door for lights out.
Brown asked Berra if he was ok with turning off the lamp. Berra said yes.
After the light was off and after a few moments in the dark quiet, Berra said, "Mine had a terrific ending, how about yours, Bobby?"
On my tombstone-
Wait! I never had the perfect draft!

Tom, delayed question about your draft. You reached a bit on Springer, which I get, but you let Sanchez slide to Perry. Were you tempted to take Sanchez and why did you take Springer over him?
Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

Not really. I was thinking I might have a shot at Machado but he went one pick before me. If I didn't get him it was always gonna be Springer. I love Springer. :) Big-time power, lead-off hitter on possibly the best offense in the game and hopefully can get double-digit SBs if second half of last season is more indicative of performance than the first half.

I ended up getting Posey at a (in my opinion) terrific value later as my No. 1 catcher. He isn't Sanchez, obviously, but I thought I did well in terms of addressing a position I tend to typically place little value on. I'm always a "Wait on catchers" guy. But with Posey he just kept dropping and it reached a point where I couldn't let him fall any further. The value was tremendous.

Thanks Tom.

And since you have Vizcaino and Acuna on your team, you will probably win! :D

Ha.

I can't believe how much I got ripped on the broadcast for Acuna. I got him right around his NFBC ADP. I obviously know he's not starting the year with the Braves but as long as he isn't in the minors too long I should come out in great shape there.

Since the Braves did not bite on the cheap and plentiful veteran OFers (other than 4th OF types like Tucker and Carrera), he will not be a Gwinnett Strip"p"er long.

If you can, watch him play sometime. He just does not get cheated on any play. Power may not be there this year (or maybe it will), but if the Braves let him run it will be fun...
