Second Weekend Las Vegas Draft Schedule & Locations

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Mon Mar 19, 2018 8:11 am

Okay, one weekend of live drafts and auctions is in the books. We did a lot of good things, learned a few things and battled through one tech issue. We might have had the winning teams drafted already, or they may be drafted in the next 10 days. Only time will tell.

But we do know our Second Weekend schedule of events in Las Vegas, so let's get you prepped and ready to go. I will email everyone this schedule as well, but here we go. Safe travels everyone and bring warm clothes. It's been a little chilly out here this last week and the forecast calls for sunshine and 60's through the weekend. Enjoy.

Okay, so here's the schedule:

Greg, just to be clear, the Thursday 5 pm auction is at the Aria ? Because on the web site ( playNFBC) for that particular auction it says Bellagio. That might cause some confusion. Maybe not, but should it not be changed.
Rogers Hornsby, Hall of Famer with the Cardinals was once asked " You love Baseball Rogers, but what do you do in the winter ? " His response......"I stare out the window and wait for spring "

Just a heads up that the Aria added on to its Convention Center and so when you come up the escalator you will see Convention Center East (to the left) and Convention Center West (straight ahead). We are straight ahead -- Go West Young Man -- just so you know. Here's the rest of the directions to our draft rooms tomorrow:

If you go directly to the Aria:

Come into the front entrance and go into the casino. Look above and you will see signs to the Convention Center. Follow the signs until you get to the escalator and go up one floor. Go straight to Convention Center West (a new Convention Center East is on the left side; don't go there). Go straight about 200 yards until you see the Business Center and the Copperleaf Ballrooms are on the right.

We are in Copperleaf 5 and 6, which is down another 100 yards and on the left around the corner. It's a little bit of walking, but not too much.

If you are coming from the Bellagio on the Tram:

Take the SECOND stop for Aria/Monte Carlo. After getting off the Tram, go down one flight of stairs and enter the Aria/Monte Carlo doorway. Aria is on the left and go down one escalator to the casino. Enter the doors and follow the Convention Center signs to the escalator and go up one floor. Go straight to Convention Center West (a new Convention Center East is on the left side; don't go there). Go straight about 200 yards until you see the Business Center and the Copperleaf Ballrooms are on the right.

If you get lost call me at 715-254-5553. Give yourself enough time because we are starting on time.

IT IS TIME!!! :D

Let the Games Begin. We kick off the Second Weekend in Las Vegas tonight starting with our Welcome Reception. We are meeting at the Spa Tower in the Bellagio. Just come into the Bellagio lobby, head straight to the floor garden, follow the walkway to the left of the flower garden and keep walking until you see the sign Elevators. Meet there at 4:00 and we'll get everyone upstairs.

The Auction Championship starts at the Aria at 5 pm PT and the Main Event starts at 6 pm. Next year I'll just make both at 5 pm PT. My bad this year for the later start time.

Okay, let's do this. Safe travels everyone and we'll see you tonight.

Okay, let's also turn our attention to Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Bellagio. All of our drafts and auctions are going to be in the same area, so this should be easy. Here we go:

So everything is going to be in the Grand Ballrooms. We have the auctions in Grand Ballrooms, 6, 7 and 9 all three days and on Saturday for the Main Event we will be in Grand Ballroom 5. So just think GRAND BALLROOM and you will find us.

So here are the directions to the Grand Ballrooms:

If coming from the lobby of the Bellagio, turn right and go into the casino. Follow the signs that say Convention Center and walk into that area. Keep walking past the Business Center, past the Monet ballrooms and until you see Grand Ballrooms. It is just past the Wedding Chapel and we have the Grand Patio to the right. Again, on Friday we are in Grand Ballrooms 6, 7 and 9. You will see us outside of those ballrooms.

From the Tram: Get off the Tram, take the escalator down one flight and adjacent to the gift shop take a left. Go past the DaVinci Ballrooms, past the Bellagio Ballrooms and go until you see the Grand Ballrooms, just before the Wedding Chapel. Grand 6, 7, and 9 will be to your left.

The entire Schedule of Events is above. Thanks all and safe travels.

Thanks to everyone for finding the Aria on Thursday and getting there in plenty of time. All three drafts/auctions started on time and all went well at the Aria.

But we are at the Bellagio now for the rest of the way. Every live event is in the Grand Ballroom this weekend, with the exception of today's full 10 am PT $750 Rotowire Online Championship Live. That one will be in the Spa Tower Executive Penthouse Suite, where we had last night's wildly successful Welcome Reception. What a time that was. Amazing.

Okay, Grand Ballrooms 6, 7 and 9 today at 10 am and 4 pm PT. And then we have the MTM Friday Night Midnight Madness draft in the Guest tower suite starting at 9 pm PT. I don't have the room number for that one yet, but please meet down at the Guest tower base around 9 pm PT and we'll get everyone upstairs. Should be a lot of fun.

Thanks all and good luck today.

Okay, today we are in Grand Ballroom 5 at the Bellagio. This is right next to where we held all of yesterday's auctions, so come to the same area and don't get married first in the Wedding Chapel.

The 4 pm drafts and Auctions are in Grand Ballrooms 5, 6, 7 and 9. Thanks all and be early for today's 10 am PT Main Event because we have some special awards to hand out and some former champions and Hall of Famers to honor. Should be fun as we start this about 5 minutes before the scheduled start.

And kudos to everyone who participated in the live auction leagues yesterday. Those went extremely smooth and it was a great, great time. We capped it off with the party in the suite last night and a fantastic view of the Bellagio fountains and the Strip. What a great day for everyone involved and for the NFBC as we really get these live auctions to hum and run more smoothly.

Now onto Saturday. Good luck to everyone drafting in Las Vegas and to the hundreds and hundreds of folks drafting online. This has the potential to be the busiest day of drafting in NFBC history. Jump in and join in the fun. Thanks all.
