Suggested fixes - Set Lineup webpage

Post by mdecav » Sun Mar 25, 2018 4:07 pm

1. Aesthetic: Because of the length of Madison Bumgarner's name, it is wrapping around the cell and shifting the Set Lineup grid vis-a-vis the grid listing the teams SF is playing against and all cells below that. You likely need to extend the column width for players with longer names.

2. The set of names that have Rotoworld news blurbs is different than on this website. For example, Fernando Tatis Jr. it is empty here but Rotoworld has written a few blurbs about him this spring. This is not the only player where I've seen this.

3. Aesthetic: Never in my life have I ever seen doubles and triples written as "DBL" or "TPL" as in the Season/Weekly Stats headers.

4. Aesthetic: I mentioned this before: Change the percent owned/started to 00% format, not 00.0%. The tenth of a percent provides no useful information and can provide more horizontal space on the webpage.

5. Where are the first game of the period starting times for each player?

Point 5 is my biggest concern here...are we going to have start times?

Having rosters on our computer without having to scroll is a must in my book.

Also, we are good friends with RotoWire.
It would be nice that when RotoWire obtains the lineups for each days game, that it is linked up to the NFBC.
For example, let's say we have Aaron Judge rostered.
When RotoWire receives lineups a couple of hours before game time and feeds them to the NFBC, we could see the Aaron Judge name, followed by a green light indicating that he is in the lineup, and the number 'two', indicating that he is batting second for tonight's game.
If it's a dreaded red light, we know he is not in the lineup.
This would be a good 'heads up' for us making lineups on Monday and Friday and just a cool bonus overall for NFBC owners.
On my tombstone-
Wait! I never had the perfect draft!

These have all been fixed and implemented by IT. Enjoy and thanks for the suggestions.

We've always said the Set Lineup and inside pages were a work in progress as our main focus was on the draft software and live event Admin software. Oh, and FAAB and several other things. But keep the suggestions coming as you can see that this IT group is quick and responsive to smart suggestions. ;)

I noticed a little bug which shouldn't be too complicated to fix. I like being able to arrange pitchers in a specific order: starters at the top from best to worst and then closers at the bottom just to make things visually easier.

If I switch 2 pitchers already in my starting lineup and click save then refresh, they'll be back in the same order as before.

If I switch 2 pitchers already in my starting lineup and then switch a starting pitcher with a bench pitcher, both changes will be saved.

It's like the system isn't registering the first change because the starting lineup is the same except for the order of the pitchers.

Thanks for the suggestion. This is something we hope to implement in due time. We just have to finish a few other items first, but we agree with the suggestions.

When one scrolls down on "setup team" a large creepy black line scrolls down as well - can this be removed?

This is a new one Will. We aren't seeing this on Google Chrome and this is the first we've heard of it.

I would suggest to you and anyone else to please download the latest Google Chrome or make sure your software on the computer you are using has all of the latest updates. We've worked with others to make sure this is the case and immediately the software works so much better. I can't say that's what is happening here, but that's the starting point.

Are you using Google Chrome? If not, download and let me know if you still see that on your screen. Thanks.
