That's cuz there's MUCH more info available now on your team page Dan. We'll stop posting these at some point because all the info is now available to everyone with more than we had listed previously.

I can't make heads or tails of this post. There is no order to the information, and I have no idea what some of the numbers next to the players represent.

In years past, we received a weekly post that showed all players picked up in each format. The players were sorted alphabetically, and each and every winning bid was shown for the player:

Zack Wheeler 68
Zack Wheeler 55
Zack Wheeler 103
Zack Wheeler 13

Yes, from our home pages, we can go from league to league and get this information ourselves. We could always do that. We can still do that. However, the weekly message board posts were a great way to see if you got VALUE -- for you, Dan 8-) -- on your pickups. All in one convenient place.

Glenn, we never provided all of that information before. What we had before was player name, dollar amounts and league. That's it. There's a lot more available now on the new page. If you go to Stats/Player Movement every move is listed there by contest, dollar amount, who was dropped, how many leagues they were added in, high winning bid and low winning bid and what percentage they are owned in that contest. That, in my opinion, is a fantastic new feature with info that everyone in the contest did not have access to before. I recommend checking it out for two reasons:

1. It's REALLY terrific.
2. These message board add/drops will be going away eventually since there is no longer any reason to post the info here when it is all available on everyone's team pages.

I agree these posts do not provide the information that was provided here in the past. That's because all that information, and a lot more, is now available on all team pages.

Not to be cynical or a smart ass, but I think going forward we'll make one post each Monday that gives you direct instructions on where to find all of the information we used to post on the Message Boards and more on your Team Pages. It will be in one easy spot to find this information on all of the Main Event winning bids for every player concentrated together and all of the Main Event (and all other contests) drops in one area.

It makes more sense to direct you to this page on your team pages than to have you come on to the Message Boards for all of this. And that's exactly why we built those pages. We'll include the instructions in our weekly newsletters as well. Soon it will be as second hand to find this information every Monday morning even before we get to work as it was to come on these Message Boards for that information each Monday.

Tom will post that info for all to see. Check it out now if you know where to find it and enjoy the extra information it provides that we didn't have before.

Okay, I checked it out. A few suggestions:

1. If you sort by Player Name, the list is sorted by first name. It would be much better if you could sort by last name.

2. If you sort by Owned, nothing happens.

3. If you sort by Leagues, you get the number of leagues the player was grabbed, from most to least. There are bugs there (A.J. Cole-2 leagues and Zack Wheeler-27 leagues are improperly sorted).

4. There are similar bugs by sorting Max bid and Min bid.

5. Adam Ottavino was picked up in 20 main event leagues. The max bid was $69, the min bid was $1.

a. From the message board posts in the past, we would be able to see all 20 of those bids. Did 19 people bid $69, and 1 person bid $1? We should at a minimum get an average bid amount. ***EDIT*** I see how to get this info now. Good job!

b. From the message board posts in the past, we would be able to see WHO bid on those players. "Wow, Shawn got Adam Frazier in every league. What a smart owner he is!" This report is missing that data. ***EDIT*** I see how to get this info now. Good job!

I tried it.
Maybe I'm not looking in the right place.
It's many, many clicks to get all the information that this provided...

Zack Wheeler $68 Lumberjacks
Zack Wheeler $45 Brewicide Squad
Etc.

I know that you fellas are trying to get us to embrace change.
And want to sell us on these changes.
Sometimes though, change is not very embraceable.

Good way of saying it -- I had a hard time finding that data. We may need another Darik video 8-)

1) Tom - you are incorrect. You did also provide the name of the team in addition to the player, league, and bid. Here is example from last year:

2) The new system is not the easiest to get the information from.

My teams
My teams (again) - why? no idea
Select a team
Transactions
Nope. Wait. It's not Transactions. Why would it be transactions?
Stats
Player Movement
Drop down to Main Event
Drop down to Add
Drop to right date

There they are. Profar is first. Why is Profar first? Is it the J? Is it the P? No - it's sorted by quantity of leagues. Why?

Ok - click player.
There it is - sorted by first name.
Aledyms Diaz - there is a guy I picked up. Let me click him.
Oops. That gives me his profile page.
X out of that. Doesn't seem to be right spot.
I see a warm fuzzy blue "Teams" to the right. Click that.
Bam. There are the bids. I don't see mine. Crap. That must be in an online team. Oh well. I see 11 bids and runner up bids as well.
Oh wow - Baseball Furies picked him up. Second thoughts now about that pickup.
I wonder who else Baseball Furies picked up - no way to do that. Could do a control F and find that in the email.

Anyways....obviously somewhat sarcastic but it shows the steps involved in trying to get the same info you guys posted on the message boards last year every week. One is not like the other.

You're right John the name of team was also provided. My apologies. That information is on the new page as well. So nothing has been lost.

The reality here folks is we posted the information here for two primary reasons: 1) Transparency and 2) STATS wouldn't put it on team pages like we wanted. The latter is something we wanted for several years so we could stop posting all the add/drops here but it never got done. Our new IT group has done that AND added many more features that were not available. I understand change isn't always easy :) but the Player Movement page is light years superior to what we had before in terms of FAAB add/drops. It's much more detailed with a lot more key information. I used both for our weekly FAAB segment on our Sirius show and it's not even close how much better the new page is. I love the page and it provides everything the old message board posts had with considerably more detailed information.

Like Greg said, we're moving forward. We'll post the information on how to access the add/drops each week but the add/drop posts are now a thing of the past. Sorry gang but this has been a long time coming and the new page provided gives you everything you need to track the moves made every Sunday night.

Good job!
Thanks Glenn. Anything you see that is out of sorts or hard to find, let us know. Shoot me and Tom an email with those details and we'll send to IT and get it better if needed. You see how responsive they've been, so just send a nice detailed email our way and we'll fix or update or change anything that is needed.

Getting it perfect on your team pages is so much better than having Tom and I post these on the Message Boards. You guys know that when football gets busy we might actually miss a couple of weeks of transactions from the boards. This way you have them first thing on Monday morning every Monday morning. If we're out that day, you still have the info.

So yes, keep the suggestions and detailed changes coming our way. We'll get it better if needed. Thanks again.

Thanks Glenn. I'll send these to IT.
IT had spotted these and will have a fix done.

Is there a one click way that we could see Main Event bids as they were posted last year?

If not, isn't ease of information as important as the information itself?

I agree. Being able to quickly scroll through the whole list and notice trends/oddities/outliers is much harder now having to click twice (once to expand and once to contract) on each player. It makes it basically an unmanageable task and you end up only checking the few players that really interest you and miss out on all the rest of the data. It would be really nice to be able to click an expand all button and have it listed out in raw form like it used to be.

It is wonderful that we have a lot more information and that some are even smart enough to access all that info in a way that suits them.

To me, it is like needing a pen, a can of paint, pliers, a shirt, and a bag of Doritos.
Last year, the posts had all the info needed, like WalMart has all these items.
This year, I have to go to Office Max, Sherwin Williams, True Value Hardware, the Big and Tall store, and a grocery store to pick up these items.
I'm running out of gas!
I don't want to make a lot of trips (clicks) to get something that was available at one store (click).

That's not progress.
Looking at FAAB bids by others in leagues was a Monday joy in one beautiful long display.
Now, it's not.
On my tombstone-
Wait! I never had the perfect draft!

We will talk with IT to see if we can display that exact data that we posted on the boards in the past in one simple location. And if needed we will post that data on the boards as well. We aren’t trying to take anything away or to make Monday’s less enjoyable. We are actually trying to make this process better for everyone. But let’s see if we can tweak this a little to get it right. Give us a little bit. Thanks all.

I click on the "teams" link to see all the teams that picked up or dropped a specific player. When I'm done I hit the "back button" on the page (not the one for the browser), but it takes me all the way back to the top of the list of adds/drops. Is there a way IT can return you to where you left off instead of the top? Thanks
