Here's An Inside Look At Our NFBC & NFFC Live Events

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Fri Nov 16, 2018 4:07 pm

One thing we've done a poor job of during our 15 years of hosting live regional high-stakes events is showing off the enjoyment of a real live draft. We haven't posted enough pictures of our live drafts and we haven't posted any video of them. I mean, where was the videographer during the after draft parties in New York and Las Vegas?

But this year we hired Brady Tinker and his son Jake to shoot video in Las Vegas at the Las Vegas NFFC Drafts and Auctions and we can now show the greatness of being at a live event. We are going to use this as a promotional video for all of our sports, but especially football leading up to the 2019 season. Check it out and let us know what you think. We'll do this in future years as well so that we can really capture the essence of being with us live for baseball and football:

Thanks Brady and Jake. Great stuff.

Greg, there is nothing about the NFBC and a look inside it all in this video. This would have been better posted to the football message boards. And every year the NFFC is positioned and touted as the be all end all of everything while the NFBC, and especially its baseball only players, are treated as second class citizens. It would have been nice to have had a video done about and for us to roll out on this forum to kick off the year. And maybe what is most important to you is the 12,000+ or whatever $10 leagues that are piled up for the football season, but not to the majority of us on here. I just don't understand why we are mostly ignored when it comes to this sort of stuff especially. The MTM Ultimate, the Vegas Party, the Main Events, and the High Stakes Events in Vegas for example would have been an awesome opportunities to capture some of the personalities of the NFBC and the enthusiasm and excitement of the live event experience. In addition, the video, though pretty decently produced, needs a lot less fast motion fluff like shots of the food, hotel, and Vegas in general. We get it. Vegas is a fun place. But if you want to attract more new players to season long baseball and the live NFBC events, it would be nice if you plan on hiring a professional crew to be out in Vegas and in NYC this year. I'm sure that Brady has enough on his plate. A good idea would also be to have a plan and an outline for you want this video to be going in. Promo? Marketing? Sales? Boosting clientele enthusiasm? All of the above? Etc. Better than just amassing a ton of footage of middle-age guys drafting in baseball jerseys.

Again, I'm sure that this wasn't intentional since football is probably your bread and butter and obviously your sport of choice, but it doesn't translate well on our end. As always, I don't claim to speak for everyone in the NFBC, just the vast majority who agree with me.
