Re: PreMature E-Draftulation League
Dan, I'm sure once we have the software work for a pitcher like Ohtani (P/DH) we obviously can make that doable for McKay or Lorenzen. We would just have to assign any player that would qualify that way.

Some of us were wondering what the qualifications would be.Greg Ambrosius wrote: ↑Wed Oct 16, 2019 7:18 pmDan, I'm sure once we have the software work for a pitcher like Ohtani (P/DH) we obviously can make that doable for McKay or Lorenzen. For Ohtani, would he be a U, then have to 'earn' being a P again since he didn't pitch last year, or is he just given P status?
For Lorenzen, would he be a P, then given U after 10 pinch-hit appearances? Or, is pinch hitting eliminated and he would have to play a position?
For McKay, would he be a P, then obtain U status after totaling 10 appearances as both a Pinch Hitter and DH'ing? Or again, is pinch hitting eliminated and he would have to DH 10 times?

Our plan is to give Ohtani P/U designation right from the start. We all know he qualified as a Pitcher in 2018 before his surgery and he certainly qualified as a DH last year. We will open with him eligible at both positions.DOUGHBOYS wrote: ↑Fri Oct 18, 2019 9:00 amSome of us were wondering what the qualifications would be.Greg Ambrosius wrote: ↑Wed Oct 16, 2019 7:18 pmDan, I'm sure once we have the software work for a pitcher like Ohtani (P/DH) we obviously can make that doable for McKay or Lorenzen. My initial thought with McKay is P only. He had mostly pinch-hitting duties. He would need to DH 10 times this year to gain that eligibility.
Lorenzen actually played enough games to qualify in the OF (29?). Per our rules he seems to qualify at P/OF, which would be a first for our contest. I will have to double check on all of this, but that's how I see it right now.
