PS: Are we on for that side bet?

If so, maybe we can get Chest to hold the money...

Yes, I'm a little crazy sometimes hence my team name. I believe with all my heart I will win this satellite which, according to most people who trashed my draft, is "impossible".

How many people have you seen on this site that have ever guaranteed a victory in April?

Only one. And when I come through, it can't be questioned.

My only wager is this, should I not win my satellite, I shall post on this forum a HUGE apology for being such an idiot and admit that I am full of xxxx and I have nowhere near the ability of the Main Event players.

Should I win, well. Then I go down in the NFBC history as the "biggest jerk", "idiot", "moron", "dead money" player to ever guarantee victory in April AND come through victorious against 14 other competitors including 5 Main Event geniuses.

It will be unprecedented.

CRAZY LIKE A FOX IN 2ND PLACE TO THE MINUTE 11:55 PM. thanks Steve. You had me at Crazy.

I think you're the only one who gets me.

Everybody is so wrapped up in what you should and shouldn't do. If you don't think you're gonna win raise your hand? Anybody? Anybody?

Have fun. If you think you're going dominate this year say I?

IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII

thanks again Steve. You are one of the first people in this forum who recognizes the amount of fun I am trying to have and not take myself too seriously.

As far as NFBC Main Event players, I believe, Mallory Killers (you), Dead Rabbits, Hangtown (Dan), I'm guessing there's probably a couple others out of the bunch. I think Chest mentioned there might be 5 in my league compared to his competition which would be everybody.

Anyways, good luck Steve. I see you are currently in 1st place by 3 points. Excellent job thus far. You have made some great pickups. Love the Guardado pickup. You pay $31 now, instead of maybe $200 right before he comes back. He should do much better than say a Jason Frasor who went for huge money. I jumped all over your Micah Owings drop. Hope it works out. I jumped on Fernando Cabrera thinking it's just a matter of time before he gets the closer spot, hopefully over Betancourt. Borowski's on borrowed time.

It seems like I've only had 1 super offensive day all year. I think I've only had 1 day with more than 2 homers. I've made a couple moves I regret so far. I dropped Theriot after the first couple weeks when it looked like Derosa was getting the starting spot. Admittedly a really bad move as stolen bases are very difficult to find.

Not a huge deal, but I was this close to dropping Iannetta and picking up Doumit, but I don't want to give up on Iannetta so quick. He's getting on base but I never expected such a slow start.

Good luck man.

Down by 6 1/2 points to the leader Mallory Killers.

With Schilling/Hamilton/Alou coming back in August I'm gonna bring this championship home.

Can't wait to see Chest wearing a shirt that says "Crazy is #1" at the 2008 Main Event.

I also think teams that have lost several "key" players to injury might disagree with your definition of ravaged by injuries.

Crazy, you are our own Paris Hilton.

Without accomplishing anything and making sub-standard comments, you still keep your name out there.

Congrats, keep up the good work.

Now, 1 1/2 points out of 1st place.

Schilling/Alou/Hamilton coming back in 10 days.

Inserted stats into Main Event categories.

51st place......so far.

Chest Rockwell is lol, 141st overall.

What was that? If Crazy beats one of Chest's teams he "will never post on this forum again"

No more obnoxious, arrogant, ludicrous remarks.

I'm a HUGE, "Crazy" fan.

But Crazy, doesn't it help that you're in a 14-team league? It's bad enough that you have an owner that doesn't bid on free agents, but HE DOESN'T EVEN SET A LINEUP.

That is a huge advantage. I knew my offense was kind of weak coming out of the draft. I also knew I had pitching. I've known the whole year that I had a great chance to win (since day 1) because I knew I could make up garbage points on the offensive side due to a couple teams quitting early and absolutely obliterate everyone with pitching.

I have to admit, these satellites are probably easier than the main event because of that very reason. Does every team in the main event stay competitive to the very last day, I kind of doubt it, but I'm sure with that kind of cash being thrown out there and the fact you have to face a lot of your competitors the next year ie. bragging rights or saving face, then I can see how the Main Event players would be much more diligent. I'm know that waiver wire would be much tougher as well.

I don't think the draft would be a lot tougher though. It's a big speculation thing. I look at my team that's doing fairly well, and I could have gotten most of my players at the spot I got them in a Main Event draft.

With that being said, it seems that most players in general, main event players included, are too busy reading fantasy baseball magazines to ever think outside the box. There were atleast a few main event players who put my draft through some kind of formula (based on other popular drafts) to figure out how my draft ranked. What did it say? It basically said I "reached" on many players and I had a horrible draft. I laugh at that. I know I had a pretty good draft. These guys are the "best of the best" but they need to put there draft into a stupid formula to figure out if they did well.

If you do your homework, balance risk/reward the best you can, and take chances where you should, your draft will come out better than 80% of the teams every year.

Good luck on your team Phoenix.
