according to rotoworld.com Roy Halladay went on the 15 day DL for an acute appendicitis and will likely miss a month.
I'm not sure how long it takes to update the official DL for nfbc, but is there any chance it will be updated in the next 30 minutes? Probably not, but I'd like to be able to sub for him if at all possible.

Don't think it qualifies as ROY didn't make the cut by Friday morning.
Question: Have we played any games yet today? NO
Yet, another player not allowed to be changed. Which in this case, seems fair. Why? Read below.
DEVILS ADVOCATE: Now, had this been yesterday DOC owners would be legally allowed to replace him in the rotation EVEN though he would not have been scheduled to pitch. Owners with the proper bench strength would have been allowed a change.
Another SHINING example of why this Friday D/L Rule is as crappy as can be. Halladay could have easily pitched a gem earlier in the week and the rule as currently constructed would have allowed a replacement while teams with guys like Chad Cordero ( I don't own him ) are out of luck.

Sack- you overlook some things
Lets say you get your way and halliday is DL'd at 5 pm so Stats makes the move by 6 pm to satisfy you. Is it fair that some people are on the road on the way home and cant do the move? We need to keep this game fair and being at a computer at a certain time doesnt do that. You must think big, not small like you are doing. Having a Friday midnight deadline gives everyone a chance to do a move. Your idea gives a lucky few a chance to win a league due to being on the computer when a Stats move is made. I cant believe this is the way you would want to win. I would bet that a guy as upset as u r by this rule is not doing well and needs this ability to make up for your teams demise. Just a guess. I have no idea what team you are.

Richie:
I understand your point, you actually make a good argument as to why the posting needs to be DUNN a day earlier. I would still find a way to make transactions, but that is just me.
My problem with this rule is that it doesn't cover all the bases and I think the NFBC is better than that.
You were doing so well till the end. I do want to win a league because during baseball season I try very hard to stay on top of most of the news for the entire six months. Before you take a guess and assume my teams are in losing positions do a bit of homework. Start with the Main Page and scroll DOWN. If today is a travel day, wait till Monday......I'll still be there just like the last several seasons.

Kenny, I don't get this complaint at all. The guy pitched on Thursday night, our DL cutoff is midnight on Thursday and you're saying this rule stinks because if he had gone on the DL before midnight on Thursday somebody would have gotten a second start out of a position that should have had only one. Well, that's why we have the midnight deadline. Guys just don't get placed on the DL that fast, whether he pitched on Thursday or probably even Wednesday. Nothing wrong happened with this transaction and yet it's being attacked as potentially wrong for the NFBC.
Please keep the complaints to when things ACTUALLY show a problem with the rule. Halladay pitched, went on the DL this weekend and the rule wasn't even used. I don't get why there needed to even be a discussion on the Friday DL rule involving Halladay.
Carry on, as GG would say.
