He's simply looking at what he has and where it would fit. He looks at the homers cat and figures that he has x number and that would put him, say, 87th. Then he does it for all the other stats.
The question is: is he doing that to be childish or because it is part of the terms of a bet he made with Chest? I wish someone would clear up whether an actual bet was made and what the terms of it are.
It's not really a bet I made with Chest. It's more of a statement made by him that if my satellite team beats any one of his NFBC teams (I assume the only way to do this is by either finishing higher in any given league or inserting my stats into Main Event overall stats) then he (Chest Rockwell) will wear a shirt at the 2008 Main Event that says "Crazy is a Legend" or something like that.
You'll have to ask him exactly what the terms are, but should I not beat any of his teams I will never post on this site again.
This is all in good fun. I think Chest is one helluva player and good competition.

Oh, I was misunderstanding the thread. Quit bitching about how good your little satellite league is and show up with the big boys next year. I thought Chest made an actual statement that said you can't beat him even comparing your sat league to the real thing. I'm sorry I missundersood.
I believe everyone told you last year that if you're the Yankees of fball, show up. If you're not going to show up in 2008, win or lose in 2007, shut up. And even if you are going to show up, shut up until you're in striking distance of winning in the real thing. If you are so good, you'd have found a way to make it. Under the crcumstances, you should be quietly modest until you prove yourself which is at least a year from now.
Chance favors the prepared mind.

Chris Ray
Congrats on doing so well in your league. It appears your best work has been to be able to get FA to replace those players drafted who haven't exactly panned out:
11 13 Armando Benitez CL Crazy Like a Fox
12 3 Chris Iannetta C Crazy Like a Fox
13 13 Hank Blalock 3B Crazy Like a Fox
15 13 Ryan Shealy 1B Crazy Like a Fox
19 13 Jeremy Sowers SP Crazy Like a Fox
20 3 Rich Aurilia 1B Crazy Like a Fox
or like a few of the players drafted early who have good numbers, but maybe numbers that have not really supported the round taken:
1 13 Derek Jeter SS Crazy Like a Fox
2 3 Derrek Lee 1B Crazy Like a Fox
Not a slam as I am in much the same boat. I think much of what was posted about your draft has come to pass, but again, you were able to pick up the necessary FA to fill the gaps. I am not saying you couldn't do it in the main and playing the FA pool is definitely needed to win, but it will be more difficult when you have 13 or 14 other more dedicated owners for sure.
Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.
Thanks Edward Kings. I appreciate it. I had to fill in many gaps and I know for a fact I would have a much more difficult time doing that in the Main. I'll tell you one thing, coming in first while having 1 point in stolen bases is not easy but I'll do my best. I certainly don't recommend it.
Hopefully I'll be in the Main next year and compete against you guys.
