Registration For 2008 Is Now Open
We have officially started taking signups for the 2008 National Fantasy Baseball Championship as STATS has activated the Register link on the home page. We still have one more day left in the 2007 NFBC regular season thanks to tonight's wild card tie-breaker between San Diego and Colorado, but I couldn't hold back any longer. Let the signups begin!!!
Remember, you can sign up for any 2008 NFBC event (live or satellite) and we won't hit your credit card until Feb. 15, 2008. Just leave a credit card number and we'll process it 4 1/2 months from now!!! How great is that? And it's first-come, first-served on the auction leagues, Ultimate Leagues and satellite leagues, so if you're planning to compete in any of those for sure, grab a spot soon.
Just an FYI: We have set locations for Las Vegas (Flamingo), Chicago (Donald E. Stephens Convention Center), and Orlando (Holiday Inn International), but we're still finalizing New York. We're working on one location in Manhattan and looking outside of Manhattan for an alternative if needed. I'll finalize that location soon.
Good luck all. Now who will be first for 2008??? I'll create a signup thread soon.

I am in. I wouldn't want to miss a chance at making another contribution!

Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

On the tombstone there lies Wayne Edwards absolutely the best fantasy baseball player ever to not crack the top ten in an NFBC league.
I will miss you in 08 Wayne, but at least we can speak openly about our offseason prep work. Not too soon there is still a slight chance I will switch back to Orlando.

I am 0-2 against you this year and look forward in the future to going head-to-head again with a class act such as yourself. Orlando is my first choice but, like you, I might switch. The poker rooms in Vegas are calling my name. At least in there I have a better history of winning.

Hi Greg,
Please sign me up for the following in NYC:
1. the main event
2. the $1250 auction league
3. Any auction satellites you do
4. If I am REALLY lucky, my wife will let me do the Auction Ultimate
I someday hope to show that my success in the satellites can be replicated in the main event but so far, it hasn't been pretty
Regards,
Chris

Greg,
Any chance of making it so that the $650 and the $1250 auctions in NYC don't overlap? I would love to do both

Spy Sure, but to do that in New York folks would have to be willing to spend the day there. In the past, we haven't gotten that. To do a 5 hour Mixed Auction League, then take an hour off and then do another 5 hour Mixed Auction League would mean starting at like 10 a.m. and going again at 4 p.m. I'm game to adding it to the signup list if folks think there is enough interest in this. But that's a LOOOOOONG day for you guys.
