Jeff It is going to get done right now Jeff, except for finding a last minute replacement for you.

Tom, if everyone is paid up and the league is ready to go then ill stay in (sorry to be driving you nuts). When I did speak with a short time ago you did say that there were still three outstanding teams that had not given you payment info.

Jesse Herron's the only one I haven't confirmed with but I know Jesse will be fine. So we'll get this finalized today. Kevin, email me and let me know what else you need from me here.

Jeff, I'll remove you from the Feb. 26th league.

I only enter one league a year. It's all I have time for.

I really want this league to work.

I'm not dropping out. That said, I'll be very disappointed if this league fizzles and all the other high-end satellites that my schedule accommodates are full, and I'll be shut out.

So it would be really great to get a final thumbs up or thumbs down on this league soon.

In an effort to fill this league, may I suggest any of the following:

--Calling our friends and trying to get them to buy in (I did this; struck out swinging);

--Posting this league on the main page of satellite leagues on the sign up page so more people will know about it;

--Lowering the entry fee;

--Moving the draft date off Saturday Night;

--Moving the draft date to the last week in March.

I know none of these suggestions are slam-dunk winners. We want ultra-eager owners who want to play for $1,000, and re-tooling the draft date may be more trouble than it's worth. But if, after hyping this thing on the message board for three months, we've topped out at 12-13 eager owners as it sits, I think it's clear we need to tweak something to make sure it all happens.

KJ Duke, this is your baby, sir, so I'll leave it to you and to Greg and Tom. I just hope the baby doesn't get chucked out with the bathwater.

Cheers,

Bluenose.

in hindsight, would'nt it be best to ALWAYS have a deposit on the next season, and that the only way as to not lose the deposit is by giving notice to the league before the start of whatever season is about to start?

if not, then after the 2009 season when there will not be any more deposits there could be problems, there needs to be something in place permanantly to protect our league.

Bruce, what we have in place is more than adequate based on similar private lges that I run.

When is the minor league portion of the draft?

@Hook: you younguns are so clever with the Internet and its tols. An old guy like me can barely figure out the basics.

What I'd like to do is knock out one round of the minor lge selections right after our draft (posting in the draft room chat section). If everyone could have their top 15 minor lg picks on hand we'd save a lot of time with the email portion that we'll use for the remaining four minors picks.

We'll need everyone to check email at least once a day (hopefully more), or in your absence have someone that can post picks for you.

Q. about minor league Roster: Can we pick updrop minor league guys in season or is the only chance to pick them up in the Minors Draft?

KJ, your mailbox is full and I don't have e-mail. I know that Tom sent this league to MDC.com. Do me a favor and send the list to Geoff at [email protected] to see if he got it and if he's still setting it up. Then let me know via PM as I know we sent this to him and STATS already. Thanks.

I have this draft -- along with a million others -- that need to be created.

Things have been extra crazy around here lately, so I haven't had a chance to create a lot of the drafts. I'll put on my draft creation hat and really get to work on these sometime early next week.

Thanks, and sorry for the delay.

[/QUOTE]That's perfect Geoff. Since we don't have e-mail today, I was hopeful that you already had this and would take care of it. Good job. These folks are just anxious, that's all. ;)

Geoff, it seems you bend over backward to help out the NFBC, and we appreciate it, thanks for all you do.
